Hey everyone. Quick clarification!
In Kipling’s original book:
-Shere Khan does not kill Mowgli’s adoptive father.
-Mowgli does not start a forest fire.
That only happens in the 2016 live action movie.
Instead, he steals a burning ember from a nearby village and only uses it to scare Shere Khan away.
Later, on a separate occasion, Shere Khan is waiting in a ravine, where he's trampled to death by a buffalo stampede orchestrated by Mowgli and his wolf brothers.
Apologies for the mix-up. Bad research on my part.
I’ll do better next time!
Cheers
