Sometimes finding gold comes down to pushing just a little bit further…
On this gold prospecting adventure, I head into the Northern Territory bush searching for gold nuggets with my metal detector. For hours, things aren’t looking good — plenty of walking, plenty of detecting, but absolutely no gold.
Then I decide to climb over one more hill.
On the other side, the country changes. The rocks are different, the ground looks different, and most importantly… the geology has changed.
That’s when things start getting interesting.
This trip is a perfect example of why perseverance is one of the most important tools a gold prospector can have. Sometimes the ground you’re searching simply isn’t carrying gold, and the answer might be just over the next ridge.
Come along as I explore new ground, read the geology and try to work out where the gold is hiding.

Thank you for the prompt sending of the paydirt too. It arrived in 2 days from the NT. I ordered from another prominent YouTube prospector, and he is Victoria. It is still not here , he is based 2 hours away 😂.
