Who is the greatest Kidō master in Bleach? This was a pretty difficult list to make to be honest - there are certain characters that I think should've been here, while others I think could've ranked higher based on their achievements...let me know your thoughts and what your ranking would be in the comments. Thanks everyone!

To this day, i still wish tessai did more in the show or even join urahara in fighting evolved aizen.

Honorable mention: Don Kanonji after he dies and takes his rightful place as the new Kido Corp commander

The entire manga robbed us of Tessai Gangsta-level skills. Even with the release of the TYBW, i was betting for Tessai to bust out the most devastating and destructive types of kido, it'd make everyone get out the kitchen and let him cook.... And he got robbed.

I hope the anime blesses him with screentime and some action

Would definitely like to see sequels to this video with Hakuda, Shunpo (or maybe just speed in general) as well as Zanjutsu

One of my biggest disappointments in Bleach was the lack of Tesai and the kido cour in general. I really wish kido was used more often, especially in creative ways like Kisuke vs Aizen.

I'm beyond joyed to see Momo at least right in the honorable mentions. If Byakuya and Rukia couldn't crack themselves into the top ten, then there's really no shame in her not making it in either.

I will say, it's so SO weird that Rose gets in on a pure technicality, though I can't fault the logic.

Izuru might have deserved an honorable mention as well. We saw in his academy days that he was skilled in Kido, during his fight against Abirama during FKT he utilized hado spells strategically, and then we find out that he was a previous member of the Fourth Division and makes a barrier and begins using kaido to heal his injured fellow shinigami. While he's certainly not the most powerful, he has shown himself to be one of the more versatile users of Kido in relatively little combat screen time.

I would say Isane is also a potential good choice as of the Hell One Shot as she has become the new Captain of the Fourth Division and has displayed her kaido ability to heal others throughout the series as well as contacting all of the Gotei 13 officers with a Kido spell to inform them about Aizen's betrayal. Presumably she's much better now that she is a Captain so I would think she may deserve at least an honorable mention too. And if the Hell Arc continues, she may prove herself to deserve a place on the actual list if given the chance to actually show what she can do after her growth and promotion.

Interestingly enough, the old datebooks suggest that Mayuri is a skilled Kido user and it would make sense that he is, but we unfortunately never really get to see him use it. Given that he's not a fighter than likes to engage in melee combat and instead outsmarts people with his drugs and inventions, it would make sense if he also added some Kido spells in the mix during combat. I would love to see this in the future if Kubo continues the Hell Arc.

Otherwise, this is a pretty good list, I'd say. Not much I can really complain about since it makes sense. If anything I would just say that Ichibei might be too low on the list given the spells he used against Yhwach with relative ease. And I think if anything Rose's lack of feats should at best put him in HMs with Shinji, the Kuchikis, and Momo.

Future video idea: Ranking all of the Novel exclusive characters from weakest to strongest.

Aizen made kido look cool that would be the frist thing I learn if I was a Shinigami.

Ah, yeah Tessai, the legendary guardian of the Urahara Shop 🍭

Yoruichi deserved a honorable mention. Her shunko abilities are kido based.

Tessai was so underutilised...

This video made me realize something.
The reason hado 90 is Aizen's go to spell is probably because Danku exists. Aizen probably mastered hado 90 to make sure that the shinigami would never be able to defend themselves against him.

It makes sense that Aizen prefers Offensive Kido. He doesn't really need Sealing with his Shikai
And his Zanpakuto doesn't boost his offensive power.

Yeah, Yoruichi should be on this list, she almost locked Soul King singlehandedly with only kidou.

Something i want to see in the hell arc is if anyone can combine their kido proficiency into their bankai which i think make one's bankai more powerful

Do one with all basic soul reaper arts, that would be awesome. So please do Flash-Step next

Tesai not being in the Aizen fight never made sense to me

I feel like Yoruichi easily should have gotten the 10th spot over Rose. Just for creating Shunko and developing it to such a degree on top of her regular kido prowess is top tier.
