❯ The Autobots (汽车人总动员) - 2015
The Autobots is a 2015 Chinese animated motorsports mockbuster film directed by Zhuo Jianrong. It was released on July 4, 2015. The film received heavy criticism for its plot, animation quality, characters, and being a direct plagiarism and ripoff of Pixar’s Cars 2. One movie cover even has the exact character models of Francesco Bernoulli and Lightning McQueen.

I watched this in the car with my sister and I couldn’t stop laughing to the point where she took her eyes off the road just to make sure I wasn’t like having a manic episode and then we almost crashed and died so basically MWS nearly ended my families blood line

I love that Cars printed money for Pixar, so everyone and their mom started working on the most absolutely low-budget trash knock-offs of Cars as soon as they realized.

No, he is an 8 year old man, he said so himself

3:37 In Japanese media, a crow calling means someone’s being stupid, since a crow’s call sounds like the word for “idiot”. I’m guessing that this stock joke also exists in Chinese.

Fun fact: this movie's credits are stolen from another better chinese film.

8:37 Plot twist: The actor forgot their line on this take and the editors couldn't be bothered to cut it.

When I was in middle school I had a friend that was from China and I genuinely asked him if he'd be willing to help translate this.

He said no

"Mom can we watch cars"
Mom: "we have cars at h-"
Dad: "I found the cars movie in the alleyway y'all wanna watch it"

That balloon inflating sound… why do the filmmakers behind the movie enjoy using that sound over and over again, are they high on “tail fart” or something?

This is why Bumblebee was the the only character to get a spinoff, this did so bad that they banished the rest of the Autobots to the shadow realm.

5:04 That music was ripped straight out of Ice Age 2 and nobody can convince me otherwise.

"This is my most perfect work."
