Shortly after midnight on June 6th 1944, a glider passes silently over the Normandy countryside before crash landing in a field close to the caen canal. On board are the very first Allied troops to arrive in France on D-Day.  Their mission is to seize a vital bridge before the Germans could blow it sky high—and then hold it at all costs. If they fail, the very fate of the invasion could hang in the balance: this is the story of Pegasus Bridge.
