Fallout is a perfect example of “I hope your favorite hobby becomes mainstream.”

my most beloved gem turned to coal...

I hate how bethesda took "war never changes" and thought it meant civilization will never rebuild

Gatekeeping is a fandom's natural immune response to bad faith actors.

Tourism. Tourism never changes.

My coworker has been playing New Vegas lately.

He liked the show and Fo4, but didn't know any lore so he'd always ask me. I'd, at times, get frustrated and explain some of the retcons and how the TikTok theory he saw was made by someone who has clearly never played the game.

My constant frustration eventually led him to buying New Vegas himself, because he was curious if the Fallout show really changed and deflated that much of the source material.

The tutorial alone made him realize this was a very different game when a woman got mauled to death by geckos because he was too slow. Later, hearing an NPC describe "He's a rapist that likes to cook people alive," REALLY made him go, "Oh fuck this is a legit apocalypse."

Knew Fallout was fucked when the show writer said "Fallout is a vibe". Get lost bro

The "Reddit-ification" is the perfect definition of slop.

Making house a cartoon rich guy villain completely butchers the whole thing that made his character great.
He didn't get what he wanted because he was rich and angry, he got what he wanted because he was smart, charismatic, and planned generations into the future with backup plans for everything.
The man started with "what happens when the nukes fall?" and made it all the way to "and that's how I'll turn vegas into a thriving post war society existing in harmony with the rest of the rebuilding world".
What actually made him evil is the fact that he tricked people into thinking he was rebuilding everything for anyone other than himself.

Time to watch my anticapitalist slop show on the paid subscription service made by the largest global company in the world

“aint no way you take the source material as canon”

Tbh these "people" might be bots designed to shape public opinion.

"You either die as a Smiling Friend, or live long enough to see yourself become the new Rick and Morty"

slop defenders are the most annoying humans to ever arise from the dirt and they only seem to multiply daily

0:15 If i saw a Bighorner do a goat yell i’d probably stop watching entirely

fallout show isnt canon because i said so guys dont worry

My greatest insult to someone is now:
"I hope  your favorite thing goes mainstream."

People calling me a gatekeeper like I don’t consider it a compliment.

I remember when the first season of the fallout show released my cousin tried to say that the show was "Lore Accurate" without playing any previous games in the series.

These Amazon fans are the equivalent of someone rolling up to a car meet and criticizing people’s fully restored classics because “you don’t get what cars are about” but have a crossover they don’t know how to change oil on.
