Love the car to be fair. Still looks modern and is far more interesting than a lot of the non descript boring shite being made nowadays!

I had an e46 330ci in topaz blue over grey. Unfortunately got written off. Blow was softened when I replaced with a topaz blue e46 M3 CI. It’s amazing! Timeless cars. Best dad car for the money!

Old cars are so much better. And they can’t remotely switch off half its features in a couple of years unless you subscribe for them.

The best engine BMW engine ever made. I had three, 728i, 330 Clubsport, and a 330i, which did 276,000. 167,000 and 267,00 respectively with no breakdowns and all still running well at those mileages when I gave them away to friends or in the case of the 728i it saved my life in a motorway accident. I used them for work because they were bullet proof and still felt new after huge mileages. Only replaced one water pump, one strut and one spring overall with the rest being main dealer services. Replaced rubber bushes for nylon bushes and never had to touch them again. I’m retired now so no high mileage but I doubt if my current M4 would get anywhere near those mileages.

Had over 60 beemers over the years and the E46 is THE best they ever made. sold my last one 4 years ago, same car same colour but with 61k on the clock for £4000 to a stripper who literally 3 weeks ago asked me if I want it back after she’s ragged the arse off it. Made the leap into 911s now. Truly eye watering garage bills ranging from £3000-£17,000 but worth every penny.

Whole heartedly agree Rob. I've had my Imola Red facelift 2004 330 ci for 13 years now. and its only on 99,000m! Sounds and drives amazingly and a classic for sure. I sorn it for 6 months of the year and it's taken me all over France and the UK - multiple times. My only sadness is that I have to sell it to make way for my Bentley. I wish I had a bigger garage, if I had, I would never ever sell the 330!

I purchased a one owner from new Renault Mégane Convertible for £730... It had a broken roof and required a second hand module (£35). I put refurbished wheels on it! 45,000 miles later it has cost me discs, pads and four tyres. It looks great, seats 4 adults and works totally reliably. It is a proper convertible bargain.

Last year I bought an 04 X3 3.0l auto.
Had electric seats cd multi,
Sat nav - still works!
60/40 electric pano roof - still works.
Done 80k.
Some history.
Did the plastic rocker cover gasket as they always leak...
Cheap fix gasket about 50 quid.
Takes an hr or 2..
Only downsides in 12months ownership.
sunroof leaks. Replaced radiator & a hose,
main output shaft seal on the gearbox.
And 2 tyres ..
And now it's 760 p/a ved tax...I do belive.
Plan is to take the BM to Ireland for a wedding later this year ..
