Loved this band since they started - I had no idea how thoughtful and soft-spoken Robert DeLeo was outside of his rock star persona.

Robert DeLeo needs to be a regular guest. I can watch these two talk music endlessly.

I didn’t realize that Robert wrote these lead guitar parts. He’s such an outstanding musician. I just love the STP’s music!

Robert is so talented it's borderline unfair. I absolutely love the fact that Rick can pinpoint Robert's influences at the drop of a hat. I was NOT expecting to learn that there was a straight line between Antonio Carlos Jobim and Interstate Love Song.

i would listen Robert talk about music all day.

(Plays Bossa nylon version) My head explodes. I'll never hear it the same way again. Brilliant.

I love Robert's songwriting. The perfect balance of melody, simplicity and complexity.

That man is bad as fuck on the bass and has inspired my bass playing for about 16 years now. And he's such a skilled songwriter too! Much respect.

As time passes, glad to see STP finally getting their flowers.

This song has the power of hard rock with the subtleties of bossa nova in the riff. That's why it never becomes boring after decades of listening.

Interstate is the summer song of our youth in the 90's.

STP. My favorite band. I've seen the full interview, but every now and then, I watch 'em again.

30 years later I'm still deeply in love with this song. Thank you, STP!

Man that Bossa Nova version of Interstate Love Song would've killed on Unplugged.

Interstate Love Song is my favorite song of the grunge era, which is saying something as there were very many brilliant songs. I liked the whole album and listen to it to this day.

Man that is one sophisticated dude.

Interstate Love Song makes STP a top 20 all time rock band. I was so lucky to see them in concert. Such a great show. Scott was so charismatic. I treasure that as one of my memories.

@robertmedeiros5112 2 years ago

He is a brilliant songwriter and musician!! STP will always be one of the greatest bands of all time!!

Robert DeLeo is a highly under-rated musician. Scott Weiland was very talented and his vocals were amazing and his death was very tragic but Robert was always the genius who made STP's music sound so great.
