No, Tom didn't get food poisoning afterwards. Not this time, anyway.

"You couldn't touch lava with a stick because you haven't got a stick." We'd shortly find out he didn't have any lava either.

"The solidified lava appreciation society"
Gary, I believe that's just called a geology department.

I have a sneaking suspicion that at about the 7:50 mark, Tom had to cut about 10 minutes of an argument about whether raisins belong in a flapjack

I think we now know why Iceland is doing so well at tourism... They just turn off the volcanos when lots of tourists go there so they feel the need to go back!

If you think about it, it's even more on-brand for Tom to finally get to see lava at an obscure but fascinating local attraction than at an actual volcano. The perfect epilogue.

Tom missing the SAME volcano TWICE by less than a DAY each time is absolutely hilarious

At 14:42 you can feel the tension as Tom sees nothing there, and the fact that a censored swear is the only thing that breaks the silence is pure comedy.

TONIGHT, ON THE TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES!

Matt flies a HELICOPTER!
Tom walks up AN ANGRY HILL

This had a more gripping emotional plot arc than I expected from the title.

I have to say I just felt so bad for Tom, you can see this heartbroken look on his face as he turns to leave.

@SayonR 3 years ago

Matt flies a helicopter, Mr. Global resident walks 12 km in hilly terrain... What a series this is happening!

@markblacket8900 3 years ago

It's actually a prank by Tom's contact in Iceland, who was the volcano valve operator all along

Tom has the most innocent childlike fantasies.
Drive a zamboni
See a volcano
Meet an owl

"Back at base camp..."
"Car Park"

Chris just dishing out helpings of reality

@CatWasTaken2 3 years ago

Tom should just go on mundane activities for this. "Tom goes on a hiking trail" and "Tom takes a drive downtown" come to mind

@namenamename390 3 years ago

So this is Tom's plan after he's done with Youtube. Hike up active volcanoes to protect nearby places from potential eruptions

@rge9992 3 years ago

I just imagine someone in Iceland seeing Tom at the airport and being like „he‘s coming! Shut down the volcano!“

As for the whole “don’t get wet, get dead” thing, it must be said that you can go to Yellowstone and do both.

Looking forward to "Chris has a cheese toastie" and "Gary takes a nice nap".
