As for why the pigeons showed up - they saw mostly-stationary humans, not being overly loud or obnoxious. The typical behaviour of a human who might toss out some feed....

I can verify that Idaho is a conspiracy, I drove through it once. It was essentially a void with a small pile of potatoes, And the little keychains with names on them that you find in gift shops.

For those asking: many public places don't allow professional filming/photography without permission and classify anything with a tripod under this. --Matt

Despite all this geekyness, Tom still said that the difference between 2.78 and 2.75 meters is 30cm but its 3cm

I love how Matt can instantaneously convert Fahrenheit to Celsius but keeps calling Southwest "bottom left"

These people must be the best at Geoguesser.

Now we know why the park bench is gone. They tried to stop you from putting up the tripod and thought that if they remove the bench you will go away.

...apparently I was not crazy and Tom WAS on my flight back from the eclipse!

You know, if Tom ever got kidnapped, he wouldn't have much to worry about.

Fun fact: Sparta Missouri's highschool mascot is the......Trojans.

Don't tempt the internet. Really, don't, we have nothing better to do with our time and practically infinite resources

50% documenting their trip.                           50% pigeons

As someone who does a lot of night photography in London, I regularly get asked to stop using a tripod, as most places are owned by private companies. Ironically, if I had a professional camera I wouldn't need a tripod, so that rule mainly affects amateurs

"they just got scared off by a bigger bird"
"oh yeah thats a helicopter"

I'd listen to 21 pigeons, they're quite coo

Isn't it 2.78m and 2.75m is 3cm difference

"That was a tit, but I just didn't get my camera out in time" is the maddest sentence ever

I’ve been a fan of Tom’s for years... I’m from Texas, and to realize that we were in the same small town in IL on the same day at the same time proves to me just how small the world really is.

I have a feeling tom’s favorite red is shirt

The level of geekery here is astounding and laudable. Thank you for all your participation everyone!
