I truly started to miss hangouts, they made 4-star characters memorable that way.

!!! - Huge mistake by me: Natlan does have hidden commissions! Its solely Nod-krai who doesn't, my bad!

So what do you think?

Do you know the "Receiving a gift" voicelines? You will never hear them anywhere in the game

actually physical was mentioned by hoyo recently. the lord of hidden depths or abyss dog has the line "this shield is immune to physical damage" see, hoyo didnt forgot its. its clearly right there

The original grind for the Catch R5 still gives me fishing PTSD.

Weapon skins taking a spot away from a free character or weapon. Only to put little to no effort into that recent melusine skin and call it a day. I hope they regret that.

Achievements tied to daily commissions were the bane of my existence. I was stuck in Inazuma due to Storytelling Method for over a year, and Liyue for months because my game refused to check on Granny Shan.

And then only ~after~ I got those achievements did they change it so ones with achievements were prioritised to show up on a given day.

One mechanic that I really miss is the weak spot mechanic for bow characters. Despite the tedium of facing that same mechanical dragon in the abyss or theater, Enemies with this mechanic make combat a bit more strategic instead of just hitting or making a specific reactions.

Hoyo's #1 mistake was Bennett's burst scaling. Literally altered the trajectory of character designs 5 years later.

⚠️ This video has been flagged as anti physical damage propaganda.

Anyone remember when the Mondstadt/Liyue weapon/talent domains had really gimmicky mechanics, like applying elements to you and draining your energy or movement speed until that element was removed? At some point most of those got replaced by generic elemental damage bonuses while domain gimmicks from Inazuma onwards were more "normal".

Wish they could just bring old event weapons man and not weapon skins, i dont hate the weapon skin and its good to make the ugly looking ass weapon more beautiful, but this is just sad

The whole Aloy Collab my guess wasn't even their choice as to how quick it was announced, having a playstation exclusive bow and with no celebrations. Basically Sony use Genshin as an ad for their franchise and  genshin gets Sony support for cross-save.

Besides the Devs said that they want Teyvat to feel like a self-contained universe with strict laws of its own. Dropping unrelated characters into the game dilutes the importance of the twins being special. Imagine the next Descender being Luna Snow. Hence most collabs are external or recipe and items like the KFC zinger burger and wings or Duolingo profile card.

They probably regret putting 4-stars in the Paimon Shop because they never updated that shit

Remember when abyss had little mechanics like enemies that spawn geo waves that could actually one shot your character or bubble traps or spawning vines. We also had those little elemantal resonating things that applied an element and gave enemies higher resistances until you reacted the aura away from the enemy. Since 5.0 they alss added ley line disorders like 75% dmg while in nightsoul to shill the current on banner character and have since removed those old mechanics.

It’s 5 star skin bc it has different voice lines + effects, I would love if they brought them back

Just today I was telling my friend I think mihoyo had lowered the chances of a physical goblet so people can forget it exists

10:38 They actually did. There was a patch that increased the odds for every achievement-related commission for which you haven't received the related achievment yet. I got everything I was missing within 2-3 weeks after that patch. It should be much easier for new players now to get all the comission achievs from scratch.

the fishing thing is so odd to me why they stopped. like, natlan would have been so cool for a fishing weapon, it had some cool spots in lava. I never fished any tho bc without a weapon there felt like no point. even the useless fish bow I got for collection purposes, but yakno. if they added natlan or nodkrai fishing weapons id have that 2000 fish achievement by now which would also be nice

8:32 Everytime there's a new version with a new ''Bane of Bennetts'', but they always ends up being a sidegrade or niched version of him. In the end, most of them are comfort options that doesn't limit you to a specific limited area, but still weaker/as good as him. And if they overpower Bennett, it's in a single type of composition that fights for them, just like every team fights for Bennett.

I'd like to give an honorable mention to all those endless unvoiced world quests.
