I really can’t take anything he says seriously.
Crying that he’s going to have to spend an hour changing somewhere when all he wants to do is get home. He needs to add about 40 miles of range. That’s about 15 mins, get over it!

ISUZU D MAX Dont miss a beat

not finished the video but so far ive just heard someone basically be too stubborn to get apps that would help them plan charging routes easier for them, talk about how often they do longer journey so clearly didnt take that into consideration and do enough research on if an EV is best for them, say you cant charge in the rain? Just screams of old man yells at cloud for attention

To add to my comment about sticking with my 2014 Duster 1.5 dci diesel yesterday, I thought I would share something.

Earlier today I was out and about in south Wales on the A4119. Don't ask me why, but I was scrolling through the info for the range, average mpg etc. I had the headlights on dipped beam, wipers on, air con on with the blower on number 1. The range was 246 miles. I left the range on display. There are roundabouts on the A4119 so I slowed down, stopped in the traffic and then set off and back up to 55/60 mph following the flow. When I reached Llantrisant and that's through the roadworks, my range was 257 miles. So that's an increase of 11 miles and bear in mind that I had headlights, wipers and air con on. Try that in an EV.

I can go from my house in south Wales to Melton, Ipswich which is 230 miles give or take. I stop for a toilet break a couple of times. I have a full tank of diesel before I set off and I have over half a tank of diesel when I arrive. I don't drive at a slow speed unless it's in a 50 mph stretch or 40 mph through roadworks.

To return home I fill up with diesel. Why? Because I like to have more than enough fuel, besides it only takes a few minutes to fill up (unlike an EV) and I don't have to search for a filling station or pay motorway prices!! Unlike Lee and others in their EVs. No range anxiety for me.

So I pay £160 road tax and that's not expensive when compared to some vehicles.

I drive what I want to drive and don't want to be forced to have something which won't work for me. Please let us have the choice to drive what we want.

I'll stick with my 2014 Duster 1.5 dci diesel thank you very much. Electric doesn't work for me.

I was going to comment.    Saying things like are you going to stand out side as it charges or seeing the number of charges that you passed on the way up.   But then i came to a thought.   Your a comedian your doing this for laughs

What a miserable existence ev drivers

Nothing will ever get me  to buy one of these things. EV's are a con.

I love my ev!

Hates it so much he doesn’t seem to want to get rid of it.

Go into WH SIMITHS, and pay £30 or £35 for 24 hours parking. Far cheaper than £150 fine

Either that if you're going to be more than 2 hours  pay the £30-£35 24 hour charge. Its cheaper than getting a £150 fine through the post

When you just want to get home but your overpriced car adds and hour to your drive.that's progress?

Now you're planning on getting a Greggs?

Lee, you had a doughnut too. Not sure why you kept criticising the couple for having one? 🤔

This has not been my experience with an EV in North America. There are charge stations everywhere including DCFC and My Mach e will plan my route to the charge station. The app will tell you how many chargers, kw/h, and how many are in use. Any extra time required to charge on a long trip is well offset by the time saved never going to a gas station by charging at home during daily use. Never going back to an ICE, love my EV.

Why are you wearing fake glasses?

So, EVs are actually pretty cool... but they can't replace ICE cars completely. At least not with the current level of technology. I'm about to trade in my Camry for a Mach-E GT. It makes sense for my driving habits as it's rare that I drive more than 40 miles per day. For the typical commuter, EVs can make a lot of sense. But we also have a Mustang GT and an older Avalon, so we have gas cars if we need to take a very long trip so yeah having an EV for getting to work and running errands around town makes sense to me.

At this stage in the development EVs, some people shouldn't buy one unless they have a gas car as a backup. We need batteries and charging stations that can handle crazy fast charging, like 5 minutes or less. That would be the game changer. We also need more charging stations. At least in many areas of the US. You can always install a level 2 charger at home, but that doesn't help if you're going on a road trip.

I've never had this much anxiety about how much fuel I had in my tank or when I can get more
