As a 1960's kid on a former WW2 RAF base in East Anglia (sgt. father was stationed there) I came across a sealed shelter in a wood, still fully stocked with shelves of tinned food and cocoa etc.  Circa 1963.

Now we just welcome our enemies in with a hug and a new home

Very interesting, Q sites are a new one on me, and it's great to see it's not covered in graffiti.  
It would benefit from having some of the undergrowth cut back, before it gets destroyed.

As always - very interesting ! Thank you. Did you know of the Q site at Sedgeford ? The airfield there would make a good video, Started as a RNAS. There's the Warwick on the marsh. Docking of course. If you want info get back to me.

I believe the Q-Sites were quite successful, given that navigation wasn't that good back in WW2 and neither was the view from the aircraft. Some had dummy aircraft that got moved around during the day to give the impression of a working airfield for German reconnaissance flights to look at.

Where is this Steve. It would be nice to be able to visit and take pictures?

Yes two very well preserved sites.
So you are thinking the smaller room is not for generator then! Thats interesting!. Think if they had search light there would be small brick built tower infront the opps room.
The ones here in cornwall seem to list 4 personal, some could be waaaf.
Never seen any evidence of a door on a pill box anywhere, may be hooks done by farmer to keep cows out.
