I think, Camelford wants a direct connection to the another town, intstead of switching in the factory(Had forgotten the name), I think, They are complaining about it.

I agree on the mods, for me parallel tracks and autosignal were quite necessary!

3:45 I'm a new player to the series but I've found a quick fix for getting stuck behind slow moving vehicles is to add a waypoint on your line to the middle lanes so your buses will use those and only pull over for intermediate stops, passing by the slower traffic. Nice band-aid solution rather than upgrading to roads with bus lanes.

The M-300 has a remarkably good pollution score for a vehicle nicknamed "The Skunk".

Cannot thank you enough for the dark overlay !!!!

multiple units? that's what i see when i enter a mirror maze mate

When talking about the overlays, and looking at the passenger satisfaction in particular: that overlay can easily mislead to what the issue is. It doesn't show what made passengers unhappy, jut where they were when unhappy. Once unhappy, they obviously stay unhappy. Surely the trucks getting stuck behing horses doesn't help, but when you look closely you can see the line is red not just coming into, but also leaving Camelford (3:27). So they are unhappy cause they are standing around at the stop for ages before ever getting on a bus. It's hard to see on this perspective, but surely this also applies to the other direction.
So the line capacity (number of busses) is just way too small: 50 people waiting at this bus stop (which is when they start leaving, so probably a lot more), and 14 of those are already unhappy/red.

In TF2 when I connected 3 cities with train service I would make 2 lines the first one would go 1-2-3-1 the second line would 3-2-1-3 that way each train is a local service that stops at all stations in one direction then in the opposite direction they work as an express service between the two cities farthest apart

Hey Squirrel, just two thoughts about your comments on reputation loss.
I agree that at first blush, losing all your town reputation for an action that leads to the betterment of the entire town, like a simple road upgrade, seems punishing. However, think of how you and your neighbors would feel if your town said, mate we're gonna bulldoze your home, it'll be best for everyone else and good luck to you.
Not convinced by the "those pixels have feelings" argument? Let's look at the other extreme. I've seen another content creator literally destroy an entire town and rebuild it with the layout he preferred. The reputational cost rebounded in a shockingly short time span. The conclusion I reach is that, if you have the funds to cover it, you can withstand the backlash of public opinion.
Enjoying the content Squirrel!

Enjoying this playthrough Paul! reminds me of when Transport Fever one first came out, many years ago..  and you did a similar series :D

Really enjoy watching your videos. Keep em coming.

I like the tip about putting the road down opposite the bus station so there is better passenger access across the road to the train station. (p.s the worst thing having played the game and playing wide screen whilst watching TF3 videos is i go to move the screen around as if im in the game....geezus lol:face-fuchsia-tongue-out:)

Auto signal mod is already released, and better than it was in TF2. Very very useful QOL feature

God i need a mod to assist in the setup of cw and cc bus lines, having to place them down, set up the lines, name both of them and check every city for growth on top of checking passenger satisfaction and capacity drives me nuts at the start of the game. Gets alot better later when cities grow slower and bus stops need more thought before placement.

the road with tree is good to the city, but it slow down the cars in general

Hey Squrrel, Todmorden is pronounced "tommerdon", just thought I'd let you know in case any of the three people with internet there watch this and get angry

One thing i liked to do in tf2 and works way better in 3 is express trains; super fast with low passenger count (100≈) with about 4 on a line (depending on length) that stop at a few stops. e.g. If you have a line with 6 stops the express train could stop at 1 3, 5 and 6 and it helps to have another line that is slower with way more capacity that stops at all stops.

Only real downside is this system works best with 4 wide tracks so they dont run into eachother.

I think that if you do the workers supply into a industry, you should build extra road connecting the city with the industry. If the road will end here its the best bet how to get there workers fast. If its dead end private cars wont use it if they cant drive on it to other cities. You will have road only with buses.

Argh the asymmetrical HQ is triggering :) Loving the series thus far.

The two mods you talk about for the trains seem interesting. But what about the bus route for cities too. It sets up both ways in the town. Perhaps you can try them out for us. And do they disable achievements?
