"Huh, it isnt Friday, why am- oh fuck paramount"

"...Burrowing mammal with no idea what fair use is, just like a CEO"
DAMN, get 'em Red!

Those poor poor ceos how are they gonna pay yacht support for their mega yachts' yachtlings.

As Sonic the Hedgehog once said "No copyright law in the universe is gonna stop me!"

"Don't do drugs, but Sonic the hedgehog says weed is ok sometimes."
Thanks Red, I almost spat out my drink on my work computer.

THIS ONE TOO!? Man, Paramount's been on a real sniping spree lately, and it's getting insane. Y'all deserve so much better. The opening is pretty hilarious, though. Red does a great Sonic impression. I'll definitely watch again, and I hope you guys can get this sorted out. As Sonic once said: "No copyright law in the universe is gonna stop me!"

"we got free advertisement that say one of our movies is good, and we don't like that, so we want to steal all the money we can from that advertisement so that everyone will now hate us" - Paramount, apparently

I don’t CARE if its 2 hours i am WATCHING THE WHOLE VIDEO AGAIN JUST TO SPITE PARAMOUNT

And keep in mind with Jim Carrey, he NEVER does sequels. After Ace Ventura, he refused to do sequels. So for this man to come back for multiple sequels you know he is having a great time.

“Sonic says fuck the (copyright) police!” - Red 2026

This Sonic quote is definitely what I imagine he would say to Paramount: "I Have No Master, Except The Wind That Blows Free!" 🦔💨

Everyone who has already seen this and doesn't want to watch it again: let it play on mute in a different tab, that way it still gets an algorithmic boost.

Honestly, kinda wild that you dedicated 2 solid hours to talking about why these movies are so good and why everyone should watch them (incidentally, this video being the only reason I ended up watching them and yes, you were correct) and Paramount was like shut that shit down or pay us. Wild.

I love the way you give WB free advertising and they spit in your face

Jokes on all those companies, I rewatch detail diatribes DECENTLY OFTEN!

It's cause they're not irony poisoned. They're actually sincere and not constantly going "Pft, isn't this stuff so dumb and lame?"

I actually wanted to come back to this video because of some interesting insight we got recently.

According to Takashi Iizuka, the head of Sonic Team, SEGA was ready to pull the plug on Sonic in the late 2010s. After over a full decade of being a punching bag for the internet, they were ready to distance themselves from Sonic. The movie and upcoming Sonic Frontiers game was their last chance. If those flopped, the series was over. That's probably part of WHY the movie staff rushed to fix the Sonic design. If the movie failed, that was it, the franchise was as good as dead.

They aren’t called Overtly Sarcastic Productions for nothing (red, I can feel your spite and I hope it becomes the cool lovecraftian monster it’s meant to be)

How timely (NOT!) that these takedowns are happening the same week the deal between the WB-Paramount merger was "settled"

Red: "Guys check out these cool movies that I could talk about for literal hours."

WB, Paramount, etc.: "How DARE you use legal amounts of our footage while talking about our movies in a way that makes people want to watch them!"
