Thank you for letting me vicariously relive old karma. I got trounced by her in top lane as a Jax when I first started. She kept using the missing hp for massive shields when I jumped on her and got baited into some bad plays. So I decided that I gotta try that too.
The shield used to work on minions back in season 1 and 2, maybe even in season 3 for a while, it was a good way to shield cannons during tower siege to tank additional hits or to tilt enemy while trying to last hit.
I remember right when she got her rework announced I tried her for the first time and thought "this character is pretty fun actually" and played her for the last two weeks or so. When she got changed I was like oh shit this is weird now and never played her again lmao
yeah tether is best used on melee allies to get them in behind the enemy, the movespeed isn't very noticeable until late game though because your Q and E are such high skill point priority (Q max first is better for laning, the mana goes up less and the CD is lower while the dmg/skill point is the same, the extra healing is slightly less than the extra shielding per point, but it is still good and unless they have grievous wounds healing is usually better anyway since they can wait out the shield). I used to play a lot of karma before the rework, it's all coming back to me now
28:50 your tether on the fiora hit the quinn for 984 because funny hitboxes and mechanics when the quinn targeted the fiora mid dash with her backflip (the quinn moved forward before the backflip while the fiora kept moving to where she initially cast the backflip, making there be a point where quinn was closer to you than fiora for a split second), RIP quinn, that burst was disgusting.
