One of the most charming players on the  circuit.

Too bad Sabine couldn't focus in the final to achieve the level she showed the entire tournament... She had all the weapons to win it all

I watched this match from Germany 🇩🇪.  Sabine became an overnight sensation but unfortunately she couldn't replicate this form ever again.  She is such a nice lady and great talent.

Really miss sabine, it's a shame she has had injury problems. No doubt she would won a GS if she could of stayed healthy. Hope to see more classics with her involved

Sabine is so adorable. I fell in love with her in 2011 when she beat Li Na. I wish she could come back to this level. As for Serena, she showed great sportsmanship in this match, which is not something many people acknowledge. I am hoping she can surpass Margaret Court sooner than later.

Lisicki played out of her mind to beat Serena in this match, I was gutted she lost the final

Look at how many things Sabine signed for fans. So many more than the usual three or four most players do. Kind girl.

Sabine was such a sweetie. Lovely person off court and never once was angry on court in all the years I watched her. That was part of the problem, she was almost too nice. So sad what happened with injuries after this. For years she was playing inside top 20 and looked capable of a major, she is outside top 400 now I believe.

It was Sabine’s greatest ever win. It’s such a shame she didn’t win Wimbledon in 2013 and with her injuries she declined big time in the coming years. Definitely was my favourite player and a beautiful and amazing girl, she still is! but I miss seeing her play.

What a win! And what a joy to watch. Miss Lisicki is a perennial Wimbledon favourite.
She may not have won the title, but she won hearts.

Sabine was in the zone and no pressure, too bad she didnt win the trophy.

Serena is my fave, but Lisicki gets a pass for this awesome win <3 I miss Sabine

Biggest win of her career. 👏

One of the greatest mysteries in tennis, how Lisiki had the mental fortitude to beat Serena but crumbled at the sight of Marion Bartoli bobbing and weaving across the net. I’ve never been more convinced someone was going to become champion that year but the final was a huge letdown.

Still feel sad for sabine. She was on fire that year.

What a fenomenal performance from Sabine Lisicki! Truly great match!

The only one worthy of "Reigning French Open Champion Conqueror" at Wimbledon.

2009 : def. Svetlana Kuznetsova
2011 : def. Li Na
2012 : def. Maria Sharapova
2013 : def. Serena Williams
