Suggestion: Best underrated dad car in the world (and great value now) is the Mercedes CLS Shooting brake AMG

@simons4474 2 months ago

Forget about new cars these 2 should be shopping for new trousers!

@alexbooth1982 2 months ago

14:21 with those trousers and lid, I’m surprised he’s phased by people’s comments

Picked up the DBX last year for $90k as a replacement to my Maserati levante trofeo. Both are amazing daily dad cars. The interior on the Aston is next level! Love it. I also looked at the Audi Rsq8 but it was a bit too much of a cruser. Plus in the US Austin has the timeless warranty so mine is still covered even though it's a 2021.

Alpina B5 Touring. Understated and proven.

Sam, I’ve been through this journey and tried them all: Had two Urus, a GLS63, G Wagon, 4/5 Range Rover LWBs and driven the DBX etc…. My car now is my favourite of them all as a “cool Dad” and it’s the Porsche Cayenne Coupe GTS. It has to be the GTS and not the GT due to the sound and the 5 seater option. It’s just so so good

You can cancel the haptic feedback from the touch screen menu, and it will turn to an easy user-friently mobile-like touch screen with no need to press hard.

The SVR F pace works for me. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, the amazing supercharged V8 and I can still do a tip run and get our son to and from Uni 😊

Let's go! Wagon always wins. The M3 Touring though.

This is one of those where you watch for Sam and not the cars

Allroad a6 or an xc90 - then get a sporty coupe for the side. Like an f type, xk, grannturismo, lc500. I never get the high horsepower daily..

@Mansorider 2 months ago

Maybe an RS4 of the similar generation would've solved all the problems you were dealing with the RS6

Remember the Cool Wall test…picking up Kristen Scott-Thomas in it…she’d be polite, but when you weren’t looking, frown and look quizzical at all the shouty bits….ergo, the RS6 is not cool!

The comment about the guy thinking it was a ford kuga is exactly why i want one.

@Dr.Bob85 2 months ago

17:18 wait…
That is the newest bit of road I’ve seen in the UK ever..!
It’s usually looks a million years old and full of potholes.

We want a Cool Wall on the Podcast!

I did NOT expect the purple trousers, good lord

The best family car right now the DBX 707 or DBX S if you want more sportiness, 2024/2025 models with updated interior.. Much more fun, powerful, sporty and just as comfortable. It is the best SUV on the market, perfect family, with a unique platform.
