Anne Rice being anti- fanfiction while writing Bible vampire AU is hilarious.

"Lestat fucks around and finds out" is the funniest and best description I've heard to describe these books.

I love how much of TVC is just Lestat going "OH NO what if I do the thing?" and everyone else going "please don't" and Lestat going "I shouldn't do the thing!" and everyone being like "no seriously don't" and Lestat just like "hehe too late I did the thing :)"

This video makes “weird” 15 year old me, who read all of Anne Rice’s vampire books, so happy.

I never thought I would be trapped for 4 hours in the basement of Goth Jess but I always kinda hoped

So what I'm getting is that What We Do In The Shadows is a surprisingly on point Anne Rice adaptation.

Louis is the quirky artist girl in high school that all the boys are in love with and she's just trying to do her own thing.

Inside you, there are two Jess of the Shires.
One sounds like she's on the verge of tears as she recounts the tales behind World War I literature
The other sounds like she's about to burst out of her skin from excitement as she describes her vampire soap operas

Lestat rightfully gets a lot of criticism for generally being a dumbass, but tbh if I was a vampire I'd probably do a lot of pretty ridiculous stuff.

I feel like the descent into madness directly corresponds to the insanity of Anne Rice's writing. 😂

Me, who has never heard of this series: “This is just what I have always needed.”

i'd just love to have Lestat telling us the story of the body thief in a get ready with me format

Ahhh, Lestat… the original vampire himbo. 😂

My favorite thing about the Vampire Chronicles was the recontextualization between Interview with the Vampire and the Vampire Lestat. If you’re a D&D nerd, it’s like only having access to the starter set and then suddenly being given the rest of the rule books. Louis portrayed Lestat as this shallow, limited thing, and here Lestat is one of the most powerful vamps in the world and having seen things no other vamp really should have seen, and he doesn’t tell Louis because he understood the need for restraint. Then Louis does the interview, so Lestat says hold my beer and blows the lid off the whole thing. It’s so wild and hilarious in retrospect. I hope the tv show does that justice.

Whoa whoa whoa, you said “time to go back to the beginning of time when Memnock was an angel” WAY too casually lol I wasn’t ready for that

Guy who stopped reading after Memnoch The Devil: Hey, what's so bad about Marius?
Same guy after learning what goes on in The Vampire Armand: Oh... never mind.

"I had to take a break to cook some potatoes" is a top 5 moment for this channel.

Funny how the series is just Anne Rice dealing with her struggles with religion

I think the highest compliment I can give this channel's work is that I have only ever really had a passing contact with the series being covered, but when I saw this nearly 4 hour video pop up in the feed, I said 'Jess is covering it? Fabulous, I'm in' with ZERO hesitation 😂

I stopped reading Anne Rice after #6 Armand, and may I say Jess how grateful I am that you made this video so I didn't have to read the remainder, validating my earlier decision not to read on.  You deserve a long lie down and rest after all that, please do take it.
