I follow the gym bro stuff and it's so toxic we got 16 year olds hopping on gear and cutting there life so short just to look strong wild times

To be fair, i'm 38, when i was a teenager, we wanted to be muscular as well. We were fans of movies like Commando and Predator (so, Arnie). But not that muscular. Also some martial arts guys from back in the day. So, it's not like anything new in that sense. I just think everything is min-maxxed nowadays. There was no social media to feed you this 24/7.

Appreciate that this buff gentleman had the courage to use himself as an example

The worst part is it’s all by design. And it caught Gen Z as kids and teenagers, when they were the most impressionable.

So just like I keep saying, short form media & social media literally makes people crazy. This is as close as I get to any of that.

If you look at the last 50 years, there has been a gradual increase in everything becoming extreme. My question is how much worse is it going to get?!

Just because a trait is conventionally attractive doesn’t mean it will look attractive on you. Certain traits complement facial structures more than others. That’s why so many celebs and social media personalities start to look like aliens more than humans

Beauty standards will always be shifting because it's an industry and there's money to be made. China has literally been pushing beauty improvement options for millenia, and it's not alone.

Man I thought the reason you exercise and eat better and gain muscle is to be healthier? People are stronger and unhealthier than ever at the same time
