Sorry to see they went to touch screen as I like to use controls while looking at the road, also the previous model dash had more character.

A bigger screen is fine, but removing the rotary dial and physical switches is pretty stupid

Have owned three Mazdas and loved every one of them. Would want to opt out of Google's Big Brother watching my every move before buying this one. Would much prefer a dumb version with buttons

starting to see these out in the wild in my neighborhood! They look good! Shame about the downgraded interior and everything being in a screen!

That 2.5 engine is great. Was used in the fusion also. Simple non turbo reliability.

I prefer that plastic around the centre console. My CX30 has the piano black finish that scratches if you look at it too hard.

I had been watching all of the reviewers complaining about the lack of touch screen on Mazdas for years, suddenly everyone loves the rotary dial 🤷‍♂️😁

From what I can see the 2.5 engine (which is very reliable) has been detuned for the UK market to meet emissions and some kind of mild hybrid junk added. In other countries its the same 2.5 that has been powering them for some time now.

should have left the physical buttons in place (big selling point for last few years), but other interior changes welcome, esp light tan interior & panaroof.  However can't forgive no Takumi trim with bright alloys (which i have just now), Homura trim with black wheels, no thanks.  Also 53bhp power DROP compared to what the 2.5 Auto had until recently, so you need to really get it going to overtake etc and use more fuel.  gloss black plastic should be banned.  Hoping new Skyactiv-Z next summer makes some improvements to engine & drive train.  Don't understand using letters for brands now and not their logos.

I drove the car, its quite nice, but heavy wind noise on the highway. Fuel efficiency ok for such a kind of car. HP is sufficient

I love this car. I have a 2019 CX 5 and absolutely adore it.

What I don’t understand with Car manufacturers is that all this experience of how drivers and families use the car , all the testing infra and they still come up with a touch screen 😂. Come on guys , don’t be a software company, cars are used differently and are not phones, please for gods sake don’t remove buttons and dials and put all functionality in a screen. When you are driving in city and normal conditions you absolutely NEED buttons as opposite to a phone where you are always looking at the screen. There is just a subtle bridging gap between a screen usage and a button BUT that itself has a huge impact on the ability to make changes to temp, seat heating etc.. whilst driving day to day curves, bends etc. This impact is what makes driving confidence dip in screen controlled cars rather button controlled cars. Not sure who t__ F… is telling these car manufacturers to give a touch screen. The feel of a premium button click is an important element of how your car makes your drive feel and Audi had gotten it right with previous years cars where the swivel wheel , AC controls , damped indicator clicks.. these all give a nice feel and a better driving experience , of course along with the power, cabin noise cancelling etc. all constitute to become an experience. Touch screen gives nothing, and for some reason these car manufactures are just not learning this or getting this feedback..let Tesla do what they want, car guys should stick to their expertise and give us some buttons to press and not press our buttons

I was very, very tempted by the new CX5 until I saw that all the climate controls are now on the touchscreen, and that is a deal-breaker for me. The infotainment system's dial control was one of the best things about my Mazda 3...

Ok outside looks quite good as a Mazda should, but powertrain and interior vise for me is step backwards 😢

Bad move by Madza putting temperature controls on the screen and the engine is to small for the size of the vehicle..Bad move Madza!!.
