I forgot to mention in the video: Hannah is 16 and Mike is 18 in the intro.
Always make good decisions. Like watching this: https://youtu.be/sQdRqFf4Dsw

I could be wrong, but after watching a few of this fellow's videos, I get the distinct impression he's quite fond of his wife.

“It’s just a prank, bro!” sigh Sorry, not sorry but I’m on Josh’s side here. These assholes pull a cruel and mean spirited prank on an emotionally vulnerable girl that leaves her humiliated cold and crying in the snow; which leads to her and her sister disappearing in the wilderness, one of them confirmed dead and the other that was humiliated turning into a monster. And then the group has the gall to say that Josh let THEM down? It’s no freaking wonder why every time I play this game, they all die!

Hannah is the stronger Wendigo because on the night her and Beth died, Victor killed the Makkapitew wendigo, so when Hannah consumed Beth, the Makkapitew spirit possessed Hannah.

Ah yes, the great horror tale “Until thesuncomesup” 😂

It's a bad sign of  your psychiatrist is literally Satan from the Constantine movie.

R.I.P Hayden Panettiere (Sam) we're all going to miss you

It's wild to me that Emily and Cheyenne from Superstore are played by the same person. Nichole Sakura's range is underrated.

It was always baffling to me that Josh focused on pranking/scaring Chris Ashley and Sam instead of the others. Because arguably Chris Ashley and Sam were the least at fault. Chris was passed out, Sam was trying to stop the prank, and Ashley just watched. Meanwhile Jess and Emily set Hannah up, Mike played along and Matt recorded it. I understand cause scares, story and also learning mechanics for the game but still. Anyone else baffled by Josh’s decision?

I just realized, that the Devs gave everyone a hint with Hannah and Beth and if they lived or were dead after that fall.
If you look at the close up of Hannahs face, you can see her heart beat in her eyeball, showing she was still alive after the fall.
I don't think this clue was in the original version tho.

Ojibwe Native American here. Wendigo originated with the tribes in my area and I recall being told about them growing up. While modern interpretations of the wendigo involve them having elk skulls and antlers (I think the scene in the game with all the elk was a little nod to that) they originally looked a lot like they do in this game having a larger stature, extremely sunken in eyes, virtually no muscle, grey skin that can be sloughing off at times, and hair falling out. It was told that people who commit egregious vile acts against other humans become wendigo which includes cannibalism. They forever feel the pain of starving to death, no matter how much they eat and everything they do eat tastes like ash. They're forever stuck in that hellish body and cannot be killed as that was punishment for what they did in life.

While all the modern stories say only cannibalism can turn you into a wendigo, there were other ways too such as hoarding all the food in a harsh winter, or even murdering a man to be with his wife.

I think this game did a super good representation of the cryptid.

For anyone who has never seen this game before, there is a way to make sure all EXCEPT the flamethrower dude, to live. There is also a way to unalive everyone. The flamethrowing man dies no matter what route you go.

Hannah is the bigger Wendigo, because the one that the Flamethrower guy was trying to unalive in the beginning was the Big Bad. The Head Wendigo. So, when he unalived the Big Bad,  its spirit was loose until Hannah ate her sister.
That's why it says you should only trap them, not unalive them. The spirits will just go body to body.
To trap them, means trapping the spirit in that one and only body.
So, Hannah was the new Big Bad.
Just like Josh. in his Wendigo ending, he becomes the new Big Bad. He wanted to forever be with Hannah but we blow Hannah up, releasing the Big Bads spirit that then goes into Josh.
The Voice at the end, is Josh.

Something about Rami Maleks face in this is unconfortable in the same way the faces in forbidden siren were.

If you continue to open the bear trap it eventually releases  his fingers

The wendigo actually originates from the folklore of the Algonquian tribe. The story itself to my understanding is meant to serve as a cautionary tale about not being prepared, particularly for winter which according to one story I've read actually makes sense.

In fact there is a particularly old story that talks about the wendigo but in that story The wendigo is not a corporeal entity but rather an actual force of nature.

Although what is The story goes you are not supposed to talk about the wendigo as doing so is said to draw it to you.

This is like an audiobook.

Until Thesuncomesup is my favorite interactive horror game :)
