My last job did this to me for an entire year. They put tracking software on my computer trying to catch me slacking, but I never slack, so that didn't work. Then they deleted all of my work for the past 4 years, so when I needed to compare new drawings and specs to the old, my old work was gone. They had everyone read a book on leadership...except me...then yelled at me when I didn't know what they were talking about. They hired another guy to be my boss which gave me 5 bosses to report to. They added me to emails that had nothing to do with me. They added money to my estimates so that we wouldn't win the work. A year after I quit, the owner called me asking me to come back after those who forced me out were fired, but I'd never go back. I'd rather live under a bridge.
I'm 64 years old and went through this. My mental health took a huge hit. I was experiencing unfair treatment from my manager. I filed a complaint with HR, and when they say HR is not your friend, believe them. I had documented the unfair treatment. I negotiated a separation agreement rather than file an EEOC claim. An EEOC claim can take months to settle. My mental health was much more important, but I hate that the company and the manager was not held accountable. Everything you are saying is true. I lived it. Excellent video!
I love how they hire you, immediately bully you OUT, hire someone new, then do the same thing to the NEXT person, push them out, and then bully out the NEXT one. Why bother hiring anyone in the first place?
I submitted a protected complaint. Lasted 55 days of harassment. I almost quit but hanged in there. Finally got terminated 3 days after telling them I filed an EEOC complaint.
