Warning re: Tonemaster amps. I owned a Twin Reverb TM, and loved it. It had a 2 year warranty. At 3 years is just stopped working one day. It's in pristine condition. I had heard that Fender might still cover work on it because they had some trouble with this happening. Fender got back to me and said tough luck. Buy a tube amp. I know they're more of a headache, but they wont just brick on you.

Love the Deluxe Reverb Tonemaster sound. I was previously primarily playing acoustic, and due to the tone of the DRT I am about 50/50 now and having fun!

Fender has been making solid state amps since 1966.

I've had my LTX50 for about 2 months and I freaking' love it! So, loaded.

I'm a fan of the HRD Deluxe but, man, it's heavy, like he says. It's got a super-solid cabinet.

Really helpful video! Thanks for that.
Thinking about replacing my old Frontman 15G by a Champion II or better a Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb.

Bassman 65 single 12 weber speaker. It is perfect.

Fender champion ii is the best beginner amp

The Champion has the issue of ice pick cleans of solid state amps of yesteryear. I love my fsr 65 reissue deluxe and my super champ x2 head and cab, which can do a 65 deluxe sound that is incredibly accurate. Both supposedly have issues, but they haven't shown up for me in the 15 odd years I had them.

I have a supersonic 22. Great amp, but a bit much for home use. Fender tube 5 watt Amps are best in my opinion. Usually good pedal amp also.

id say the 68 custom pro reverb is the best gigging amp. 40w, tons of clean headroom and more chimey than a deluxe.

Usually play through a hot rod deluxe IV tube amp. It takes pedals pretty well also. I'm looking to buy a deluxe reverb '65 reissue black face.

The best right now for the quintessential fender tube amp is the new pro reverb combo. Eff those hot rod.

I like high power twin, prosonic and the new tone master and all. But if we talk about what people perceive as fender amp it is those blackface sound.

Actually my fav is high powered twin, but that thing is unreliable as heck, sag too much once it heated up for too long.

Oh and those red knob twin blackface.

Man... Why nobody talks about the Fender Super Sonic...?

@sonnyeast3862 1 year ago

Fender drive channels are useless,but they have the best built- in reverb of any amp out there.

Blues Deluxe, Blues Jr ..

Enjoy my Fender Mustang Micro Plus headphone amp but would like to connect it to the Fender Telepath Wireless System when I do a jam session. Suggestions?

@migo33 5 months ago

Blues junior. Valve sound with a Solid State weight. Don't know why the BJ are overlooked.

I still have a fender mustang pedal board its where I found out fender princeton i really want a princeton & throw pedals in front

@richardclark6807 1 year ago (edited)

Blues junior iv is great but better with a Jensen speaker and full set of JJ’s.
HRD great pedal amp but it’s so bloody loud and heavy. - any version just use the clean channel.
Still have my Super Champ XD with a Hama Blue speaker. Stonking OD sounds and can be pretty quiet.
I’ll probably end up fully digital sooner or later though.
