Heathen is a masterpiece. It was a remake of the Toy album which was rejected by his record company. Apparently he was quite hurt by the rejection but it certainly paid off with the production of Heathen.

Love this interview, esp 17:57 onwards. I think I just realised that I like Bowie so much because we seem to have the same way of looking at things/life. And then he would also go off into these stories... I could listen to him forever. The music is great to of course 😜

David was certainly having a good 'interview day' - not irritated with the questions or the interviewer! Would have done anything to have shared a coffee with David!

I absolutely love both of them!  I had all forgotten about Ray Cokes I admit. I was one of the "young" people back then in my mid-twenties when this interview was filmed. 😁

I've seen this couch in other interviews, and he had very interesting things to say then,cas well.

I don't know what's up with the repeating part of the interview, but the very ending has some of the best stuff. Very comforting, actually, to think we aren't really striving for evolution. Enjoy the day!

as a german i can say these subtitles are absolute rubbish and not at all what they're sayin' at all
