G6 for sure! ¨Fun driving¨ you get used to very quickly, comfort stays forever.

@rmc6935 10 months ago

On the G6 you can create a macro (called Xcombo) to turn the warnings off as you start the car. I have one in mine.

Only 4 years guarantee on Tesla Model Y and 7 years on Xpeng G6. They are almost the same. But the new G6 got massage, digital backmirror, real nappaleather seats and LFP battery that more robust than the other type of battery and G6 is cheaper than Model Y. G6 also got mucher faster charging speed. Why not just go with G6.

I would 100% choose the XPeng, bc I like to have AWD, but I like a suspension which has not too much body roll but still has some comfort and also I don't like very direct steering as the Tesla has, it's absolutely not comfortable to drive in car like that for me. Also charging is so fast on the XPeng I don't need it to be any faster ever which means if I buy the car I could in theory keep it until the battery gets bad which is a long time bc it's an LFP. With the Tesla I would for sure want to upgrade to a faster charging car in a few years, as every car will probably charge faster in a few years. The faster charging also makes up for the slightly worse range of the G6 and with charging it to 100% it will have more range anyway. Also if I would want to change to another car in a few years, I guess the G6 might be easier to sell and might have lost less value as charging won't be outdated and remaining battery capacity will be higher. Last but not least the CEO of XPeng is way more likable than Elon

For most people G6 will be better because of it's more comfortable drive and more convenient options inside the cabin.

Wish xpeng was in USA...would have bought in a heartbeat

@jansenwilder1335 10 months ago

Should we add the Zeekr 7X to compare against the Model Y ?

@atavachron27 7 months ago

Realy great review guys! The xpeng is quite compeling. When you conider how short a time they have been in play...this is exceptional! They are killing it.

Primera reseña sincera de esta comparativa, así da gusto. De Tesla se podrán defender muchas cosas, pero en otras es un absoluto caos, el interior del long range es spartano total, parece un coche barato.

Comfort is king

Great video!

Don't have a xpeng, but have read that if you disable the eco mode in the AC (not drive) the temperature will be more accurate. And it is a reported problem people have when in eco mode.

I would go with G6 because of charging speed. When you go on longer trips, its much faster charged. Also you will have Waze :-)

I have a new Model3 standard and MYP, is a great car, you feel the car on the road! Its a blast of a car…

@ExilschwabeOche 10 months ago

The very bad charging makes it really difficult to choose the Tesla (besides the crazy CEO). Why don't they fix this already?

@sprsk 7 months ago

The facelift G6 is a real good car,
Plz give us the same vs @ ( RWD long Range Versions )

@BenoitOlivier-l2t 10 months ago

Well done again ! I was waiting for a direct comparison between both car for a long time ! I mean driven at the same time, same driver, same weather conditions, same speed etc..

I have to admit that Tesla model Y is still having better following bullet points:
- Better driving feeling; more sporty.
- Glove Box
- Huge Frunk
- Tesla Network with cheaper recharging price.

But I am more on the Xpeng side because:

- Huge price difference if you take into account all the equipements on the G6 : More than 12 K Eu price difference in my country😲😲.
- LFP batteries you can charge 100% everytime.
- Of course the charging speed 12 min vs 34min = the difference between waiting for the car and the car waiting for you...
- Electric Tow hitch that I am using 3 times a week.
- I am fan of the automated parking system or remote parking system that is working perfect in our narrow European parking.
- Massage with the seat, this sounds stupid but it looks very nice for long drive.
