Very helpful . Now I can use my grandfather's projector that was given to me when he past away and was stored in my basement for many many years because I did not know how to use it !
I have some Catskill Game Farm films that my father took in the early 1960's. Just picked up a Bell and Howell 456A at my local Goodwill for $6.99. Looks in very good shape, foreword works, but reverse doesn't no matter how much "encouragement" is given.
Olá, eu sou do Brasil.
I just bought a Bell & Howell 462. No bloody A, no bloody B or C... but I'm not Scotty. The A seems to mean American made and the ones without sold in Canada. I also have the B&H 346 which is the exact match to 346A. Now the 346 is a Super 8 because it says Super 8 on the metal ID plate. The 462 that I have doesn't mention that it's Super 8. AI Co-Pilot says it was made in 1934 and rather historical in the early days of 8mm. Clearly AI is 3 sheets to the wind since Super 8 wasn't invented until 1965. Now this Canadian model is exactly the same as the one in this video without the "Super 8" label but it is a Super 8. Has the 13 mm sprockets rather than the 8 mm for the regular 8 mm plus the teeth are small square ones rather than the rectangular ones. Thank you for the video.
I have a model 462 A that is in nice condition but needs repair the forward was making a rough bearing noise then got stuck I am hoping you or you know someone that could fix it so I can continue seeing my memories that I was reliving before she froze up
Hi, I have one of these b it the reel on the left will not spin even with encouragement from the silver knob. Is it possible to replace the belts or would it be less trouble to purchase another (hopefully working) unit? Thanks!
I just got one today and it seems to work well but the rubber wheel inside that makes it auto load is missing it seems. Where can you possibly find one as a replacement? thx
Hey Dave. I found my parents Bell & Howell 481a projector and watched your video. My wheels don’t turn even after some encouragement. Do you have or can recommend a video showing how to check inside to check the belts?
