I've always respected Green Bay for their QB patience. Those guys come in, sit the bench behind greatness, then flourish when the time comes

Media also needs to be patient

Drew and Cam.. the good old days

The media call these kids burst after 3 starts🤷🏾‍♂️

Man I love how these players are being able to speak about the NFL and tell the truth.  Podcast has given us information that we would've never been able to hear.  It cuts out the people without the knowledge and puts the mic in the face of the people with experience and knowledge.  Salute

Drive through windows, remote controls and microwaves.  We want it now.

Year 1: eyes test : arm strength, mobility, accuracy (flash)

Year 2: game manager: turnovers, line calls, situational awareness.

Year 3: upgrade the offensive talent & give the qb full command. Depending on the results either offer extension or head out ?

This is why your podcast is one of the best out. You take us behind the curtain.

Keep in mind Brees was a guy who started his Career in San Diego before becoming the guy in New Orleans. Warren Moon played in the CFL before joining the Oilers. Kurt Warner played in Europe and Arena Football. Honestly if you are a bad club you should be looking at every league for players. You should be scouting for bodies. UFL, CFL EFL, D1, D2, D3. I don't think the teams who have been perennial losers are scouting enough. If I owned a team I would have the largest scouting team in the league and we'd be looking at every level.

Cam aggravates the hell out of me but also raises really good points, which makes him infuriating..😂😂

Falcons Farve jersey during this segment is fitting

Whooaaaa, the Derek Andersen drop?! Had no idea he went hard like that, man, that's crazy. Had some good years in the league, but that's just dope to remember certain guys and give em props. Respect Mr. Newton 🫡

I miss my drew, its going to be a while before my saints find something similar to him🤦🏾if ever

He was called a bust that year too. Nothing has changed in that regard.  What has changed is most teams willingness to let a high potential guy figure it out.

Baker mayfield an Jared Goff are prime examples of a slow start 😂

And people say kickers are not important Cam gave the perfect scenario as to why they’re important

As a Titans fan this is where we struggle, we expect rookies we draft high (Vince Young, Jake Locker, Mariota, Levis, now Ward) to come in and work miracles when the roster and/or coaches are doing them a disservice trying to put a square peg in a round hole. None of the offenses were catered to their strengths, the plays called were predictable which made the entire offense look a step behind. The defense can only keep you in a game so much, but when the offense is constantly going 3 and out, not getting in a rhythm, we tend to blame the QB. Vince was never wanted by Fisher, Locker was made of glass, Mariota was solid, but got hurt and lost confidence. Levis had promise but made bad decisions, now Cam has shown flashes but also bad decision making and with the last 2, its not something only a coaching change can fix. QBs need reps. But we are in a win now league and if you aren't winning you're ass. 50 games is 3 years of starts roughly. We are discarding QBs 10-15 games in. Part of it is college preparation, part of it is NFL preparation, part of it is on the individual. But i hate the idea that young QBs are just thrown in the fire and expected to win it all or else they are a bust

Spencer Rattler has flashed here and there, but no run game, spotty pass pro, kicker missing kicks, and a porous defense means he has to be perfect. And hes just not on that level yet. I'm hope the Saints follow Drew and Cam's guidance.

Kansas City is another great example. Having Andy Reid for a head coach and Travis Kelce was also a 1000yd TE before him. I’m not saying kelce was what he became to be.

2:03 to an extent Cams an anomaly, but on record, he did have to go back to Juco, then to Auburn, then the league, so he kind of had at least 25/30 starts under his belt going into the league & a full 4 years of college. Oh yeah and not to mention he’s 6’5 & an athletic 250…
