Tell Coach Rhule, that he has lots of fans in Texas for what he had done here. We will all like him except for any times his team beats ours. lol

Chris Ash and those guys are great folks

Great tribute to the Mack!

Bald Eagle defeats an Anaconda thank you!

Frost failed because  he was often too drunk during practice and games to coach  anything

Please do a video on answering viewer questions. Here is mine.

Why do great coaches sometimes not work out when they move up to a "better job"? I mean clearly talented and proven coaches that fail miserably.

Is it simply not being able to judge the level of talent needed to win at the places where they fail?
Do they just end up with less talented players than they thought they needed?
Is it their methods work at smaller schools, but at the top programs, players need a lot more development because of the level of competition?
Stupid Question, but I feel it needs to be asked - Do they get these huge contracts and get lazy? Can this happen to players now?
Does the administration hold them back, probably not even on purpose and then fire them when they fail?

There are coaches that aren't at top programs, but I really feel they would win where ever they went. These HS coaches are/were successful in college. Art Briles, Joey McGuire, Of course Jeff Traylor, who I feel would kick ass at ATM or Texas. I have no doubt that Scott Surratt would end up being one of the top coaches if he ever decides to leave Carthage, Tx. (if there is anyone who doesn't know Surratt in Carthage should go take a look at what he is currently accomplishing. It is history that will never be repeated. Ever)

There are lots and lots of examples. I said the entire time that Billy Napier didn't forget how to coach at Florida.
All coaches it seems will say "Ball is ball." It also seems like to win at the top level, a HC needs to have HC quality coordinators.
When Barry Switzer was asked about Jimmy Johnson, he said, "The reality is that I won when I had the best players and he won when he had the best players!"

The one that has me stumped is Matt Rhule at Nebraska. If Frost couldn't do it there after the success he had at UCF, it was weird, but Matt Rhule has clearly been a guy who has been able to turn a program around and by the first of the 3rd year, he has them rolling. Hopefully, this year will be the one that we are all expecting to see him make the turn and things improve dramatically. ( I think a year later than we, the fans expected)

I suppose the answer will be 'It depends" lol
Sorry for writing the novel, but it is an interesting question that we never get answered.

Thanks and thanks for putting out such awesome content. You are great. I still disagree with Arch, but as a Longhorn, we just want him to be average to win against OU this year. Just average will be enough this week for Texas.

Thanks Again.
