My financial journey has changed in ways I never expected. I started with $20k, found an investment opportunity I believed in, and within one month, my portfolio reached $120K. I’m not stopping there I’m still building toward a $500K goal by the end of the year. The biggest lesson for me has been that finding the right opportunity is important, but knowing how to manage your position and make thoughtful decisions along the way is what keeps the journey moving forward.

My bought used 2007 Toyota Sienna has 286K miles. It got to 251K on original parts before $9K in major repairs. I totally had everything repaired with original parts. It was the best financial decision ever as I essentially have a brand new car. I pay for the monthly car wash and she shines like a gem! I pay for the good synthetic oil change. Also I will never buy a car made after 2011. I believe they are all crap😊

I feel him going out for breakfast is so overpriced 😂

Bob Sharpe’s my boy! Never knew he was that tall, dang, lol!!

My mom, now in assisted living, spent many years buying stuff to decorate her house - furniture she never sat on and stuff that she didn't use, but liked to look at.  I'm now more than a month into trying to sell it all on FBM to get her house ready for sale.  Not a hoarder, but if there was an empty space she felt it needed something - definitely no concept of feng shui.  Luckily she had good taste (not my style though) so I'm having decent luck so far getting stuff sold.

I very much agree on minimalism.

The market is just acting stupid now. Near all-time highs when America is in a trade war with most of the developed world, for the first time in history gasoline spiked over $1 per gallon in just 4 weeks time, planting season is here and there isn't any fertilizer, the Strait of Hormuz is still closed with no sign of it opening back up anytime soon, the private credit industry is imploding as we speak, and the labor market is on very shaky ground with the healthcare being the only sector that is expanding its workforce. The market should be down 20% by now on its way to 30%. But before you all roast me, let me state that I don't play the short side. The reason I don't like this is because whenever markets become this detached from *reality*, it pretty much always ends in a disastrous crash. And, that's only going to make things worse for most people…managed to grow a nest egg of around 80k to a decent 642k in the space of a few weeks. Thanks again, Linda Keichian , for the regular updates,

Love that you found Joshua!

I used to gamble, top 5 financial moves was for me to stop in my early 20s. I am so happy I made that decision!

Life insurance is the biggest scam out there. I can say that because I was a stay at home Dad and my wife was the bread earner for a big chunk of our married life. I know lots of people and have a large family (over 50 first cousins), and I know zero people who have benefited from having life insurance or suffered by not having any. All most all insurances and warranties are gambling and we all know how that works out for the consumer.

Love my 2015 RAV4! Paid off & reliable. Biggest tip for buying used cars would be to look up the most common problems for the model & year of the car you’re looking for. Then you’ll be able to figure out which year & model is the most reliable & has the least amount of issues and recalls.
That’s why it’s wise to buy a used car because you won’t know the most common issues of a car until few years down the road when it’s been driven for many people for a while .

17' Prius Prime, 04' Lexus GX470 & 03' Tacoma. Paid off older Toyota vehicle is the way to go.

You want a 2026 model then go to the dealer last 2 weeks in  December and see that the car dropped $10k because they need to make space for the 2027.  I did this in Dec 2024 and again in Dec 2025. Both vehicles MSRP were dropped $10k each. Some provide additional discounts  for college graduates and military veterans.    If you can, sign up for loan then payoff 45 days later when you get your first due payment. Also dont sign up for extended warranties or GAP or anything the finance office tries to get your money.  Good Luck !!

Hah you found Bob Sharpe!

2013 Honda Pilot.  Bought it used in 2016 with 28K miles. It cost half what it would have cost new.  Paid it off 7 years ago.  First it was the family car (daily driver for my wife and road tripper for the kids - Disney, the Keys. Etc…we live in South Florida.) Then it was “my” car (traded up when I sold my ‘08 Scion xB and the wife got a used BMW X5). My oldest kid learned to drive in the Pilot and it was her car for senior year in high school.  It’s now her college car and she’s grateful for it. 130K on the clock and I do the maintenance myself.

BTW…the X5 was a money pit and the worst car decision I’ve ever made. We’re rid of it now. My wife and I share a Hyundai Ioniq 5 that we bought used. It’s a great EV so far. Our youngest (a Junior in HS) is learning to drive on it.  We’ll likely get her a used CRV or RAV4 for senior year.

So many of these people are repeating, word for word, Dave Ramsey’s teaching. He must be proud

My new car was only $20000.  I would say don’t look at a car with $20000 depreciation.  Just wow. My biggest shock is what people pay a lot of money for

That last guy needs to capitalize off of that beautiful salt and pepper hair. He needs to be in commercials

I never understood the depreciation argument for not buying a new car. I drive my cars until the wheels fall off so the resale value is totally irrelevant to me. I'm looking for longevity so buying new (or new but the prior model year, etc.) and taking diligent care of it throughout its life gives me the longest amount of reliability and peace of mind. My current car is a 2016 Chevy Colorado, that I bought brand new in December 2017, and it's still basically immaculate. Before that I drove a 2006 Ford Ranger (Yes, I actually do need a truck) and the only reason I got a new one was because it was totaled in an accident (not my fault). There's no need to look for a next car for a long time and depreciation is just an accounting trick salesmen use to convince people they need to "worry" about what the "value" is.

13:30:  I have $10M+ and I still check prices on everything.  That's not "scarcity mindset," it's common sense.
Also, when I hear "scarcity mindset," it's usually coming from a slimy "hustle bro'" trying to sell a course or someone who has bought a "hustle bro'" course.

On the topic of sports betting, you can definitely treat it like credit card flipping if you’re at least capable of winning 25%. They are able to do these big welcome offers you can take advantage of. Problem is most people can’t responsibly do it. Once you get your welcome offer done, you need to just withdraw from there.
