I like how Finn is more open-minded than 80% of his fanbase lol

Travis barker is working hard to keep rock relevant

Never thought I’d see CORPSE and Pokimane in a Punk Rock MBA video but here we are.

MBA keeps me from turning into a boomer and I'm forever grateful for that.

I think its also important to remember....  Not every artist wants to be a celebrity, and not every celebrity is really an artist....

A lot of people want to make music they themselves would listen to.  If you never had interest in gossip, tiktok, social media and pop in general, then just being a successful but not huge band isnt a bad thing.  Nothing is wrong with making money or being popular, but there is also nothing wrong with focusing on art first if you arent trying to be a celebrity.  I know of bands who get to follow their dreams and make a living without selling out, and that always seemed more appealing to me then being the biggest fish in the pond.

I grew up playing in bands and never wanted to be a celeb - just wanted to play shows for and write music for people who enjoyed it while paying the bills.  Making music I liked and having genuine connections with fans can be just as rewarding or more rewarding then being talked about non-stop (and is probably better for your mental health honestly).

I don't know if you can fill a video with it alone but i'd love a video talking about Travis Barkers role in todays rock scene

Is it me or the kids who are wrong? No, I couldn’t possibly be out of touch!

Mystery solved: Chocolate Rain was actually the first Corpse song.

“We must keep an open mind, but not so open that our brains fall out”.

HOW PEOPLE DRINKING WATER AND COMBING THEIR HAIR ARE KILLING ROCK!

A guy I work with asked me “you like metal right?” I said yeah he’s like “do you like punk?” I said yeah. He then said he found a new punk rock artist to show me I was oh cool. He then proceeded to play Jxdn and I died inside. Apparently it’s punk because there was a guitar for 30 seconds in one song

Shout out to Jaden, Braden and Caden

Can we all just appreciate how just plugged in Travis Barker is? I'm 30 and I can legitimately say he is at least part of the origin of like 80% of the culture of my generation. And now he is tapping into all the people coming up.

Good on him that is a skill most people would kill to have.

I truly belive that most modern Rock/Metal bands genuinely just want to make music. No games, no pretending just to be famous. Which, to me is a very good thing

Man, this is crazy. I don't mess with TikTok, wasn't aware of Corpse the musician, but I've been subscribed to Corpse Husband's YouTube channel for a long time. He's definitely got one of my two favorite horror channels, along with Lazy Masquerade.

Yo another thing you missed is Corpse reaches out to the Anime community, which is huge cause having popular anime in his music videos is a huge way to get anime fans to know about you

I'm an old dude who doesn't really pay attention to stuff anyway but, yeah, the last "rock band" I heard talked about was Greta Van Fleet and that was just because everyone was shitting all over them for being a lightweight Led Zeppelin. It's the bands with the "commanding front man/woman" like Slipknot, FIR, No Doubt, etc. that stay at the forefront of people's minds and even though some of those bands are old, the front people are involved in a bunch of different things aside from music to keep them current. Time will tell on these new artists but the point about involving yourself in as many attention streams as possible if you want a shot at success is a timeless lesson.

PS) was definitely at that Harvest/Endeavor/Nora show on the flyer behind you. Jersey stand up!

Corpse is really just Betty White trolling the world.

As someone that grew up obsessing over many rock bands, the last true rock band that I remember truly making it big in the mainstream was Paramore, in fact I remember seeing the video for Emergency on Fuse and feeling really cool watching it because it wasn’t played on the radio and no one else in my school knew who they were, not to mention that it was one of my first exposures to music that at the time wasn’t made by a multi platinum selling band or artist, then flash forward a few years later to my early high school years with the Riot! album and of course Decode and all of a sudden pretty much everyone in my hs is listening to them, insane how that works, what’s even more insane is that it was 12-13 years ago, we haven’t had a pure rock band become a household name that even non rock fans know since, tragic
