I love your rule of not going more than 3 days without writing-I need to implement this for myself as I am getting older and memory is fading faster 😆❤️

Im a 20 year old medical student with a lot of pressure both academically and personally ..i used to journal when i was a kid and picked that habit again when i turned 18 ...i also make scrapbooking ,my family and friends make fun of me about how i surround myself with more journals than people ...and i used to think im the only 20 year old being like this ...but watching a lot of people my age or above does it ,..it make me happy and confident ...thank you 😊

I journal every single morning, I have to do it, it serves as a brain dump for me, my journal is my best friend, I can tell it everything good and not so good and it won’t tell a soul, it’s so therapeutic for me, I look forward to it.

I love the idea of using the tear-away calendar for journaling the day! So practical and a way to reuse the pages you’d just throw out anyway. It even add a decorative element.

You make even missing your goals feel calming and relaxing <3

There were a lot of take aways from your vlog today....especially your daily journaling habit and not letting 3 days go by without journaling! Fabulous, and simple reminder . I like the idea of journaling in the evening with a cup of tea......I am going to re-watch this episode and take some notes...by the way, your videos with Job were super fun to watch!!!! You both speak so well and make a wonderful team!!~It is going to be Fall here soon and it is getting a little cooler here in NY. Be well.

I'm writing this in 2026 having just found your YouTube. My Hobonichi A6 is about to be delivered, and you gave me so much in this episode to inspire me and made me realize why I'm being drawn to journal in this season of my life. So thank you. I hope, whatever you are doing now, that things are going well and that you are happy :)

Every page of your journal looks like a piece of art. especially your handwriting, it's so beautiful. Your video really motivated me. Thank you! ✨️

Hi Abbey, I'm three months late to this video, but I still very much enjoyed it. I just bought Hobonichi Techo in the hopes of also reclaiming myself from not finishing the Midori journal I had in 2023. I'm also pressured by its size and the need to fill up every space. Just tried it cause my journal before was the travel journal from Starbucks, and I was able to fill it up because of its size. But I learned that it's okay to start again. Self-compassion with discipline is what I aim my 2025 would look like. I'll also use your rule for yourself of not going over three days without writing. That's a good rule for creatives and writers to practice and commit to their craft. Really great video, Abbey. Thank you for this.

This is true, Abby! The longer you wait to catch up on your pages, the more demotivating it appears and eventually its easy for you to just ignore journaling altogether. Thanks for sharing your rules to yourself for journaling, it doesn't seem intimidating so I might try it for myself as well. As always, great video :)

It's currently raining softly where I live, so it's wonderful to sit at home and watch your video. I love the colors of the video; a warm brown tone.

I kept a journal from age 19 to 31 when I wrote often and they provided stress relief and were a way to work through my problems but something about my mom passing on made me seem to almost writing for about 5 years. I was just getting back into it when my favorite car got a sudden illness and in spite of my best efforts getting him to vet he died and I stopped writing again.
Im now starting a reading journal trying to think any thoughts but my own by reading constantly.

I don't understand how people have so much to write about in journals. Mine would be 'got up, went to work. Came home. Made dinner. Went to bed' for every day. Maybe I'm just not interesting enough? I dunno.... :/

your journal looks like my dream journal, I love the setup :)

I feel like I’m going through something similar, except with my 20s. I’m making myself pick back up with journaling again now, and plan on setting that habit in 2025
