I want this to be true soooooo badly. I’ve been a paraplegic since an accident at 10yrs old. 57 now and I want this so much to happen after I die because I want out of this chair now. I want to feel free of it and live in the place you call home. I miss and love my grandparents so much and I want to meet with them out of this chair because they were absolutely devastated when I had the accident. If grandpas and grandmas know I’m writing this I love you all so much and I’m praying one day I will see you again xx

A Thursday in April, 2009  i woke up and before I even opened my eyes, I knew the near 10 year depression was gone!
It stayed gone.
Miracles happen.

If life as a human on earth is a commercial, I'm not interested in buying the product, and I'm waiting for the skip button.

NEVER GIVE UP!
I say this after 50 years of experience with recurring episodes of mild and severe depression—first undiagnosed, then diagnosed, followed by 25 years of medication and endless therapy.
What really helped me were a complete breakdown that led to losing my job, mindfulness training (MBSR), yoga, accepting my suffering, loving friends, and guidance from the “other” side.
Only then could I begin to accept and love myself just as I am. As a result, I feel connected to everything. I realized that I have an impact on my surroundings, which gives my life meaning. And I became aware of the meaning of suffering. What a blessing!
NEVER GIVE UP!

I loved how he cried out for help to the fish & the eagles as he was drowning. Ultimately it was the circling & screeching of the eagles that alerted his neighbor & saved him . He had a very detached zen-like way of story telling

15:05 when I was 15 I ate too many mushrooms and boy whew. I was almost atheist at the time but after that experience, I never questioned if there was a god again. I felt his presence and it was the strongest feeling of love I’ve ever felt. The geometric patterns and art I saw in my mind were so beautiful that it made me cry. I was in complete awe. Time didn’t make sense to me. Then I got scared and freaked the f out. It was so intense and that’s what scared me. Too much to process at that age. That was more than 20 years ago now and still the single most profound* couple hours of my life.

There is something really touching about people telling very personal stories and experiences in the hope it might help someone. There’s something very beautiful about that 💚💚💚🙏☺️

”You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience.”
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin - 1881-1955 [modern paraphrase].

De Chardin was on to something. We have it backwards.

Shout out to the eagle bros.

I never took ayahuasca or any such thing, but i love trees plants and animals. And can't stand them being hurt. As a result I apologise to my plants if I have to trim them😓

💙 “joy is the natural state of the soul”

We need amnesia to function on earth, I heard another NDEr saying how difficult it is to live here while you’re very in touch to the after life as it pales into insignificance…it would be hard to function and thrive here without the amnesia or at least some of it. As it’s so sh*t here ☺️ in comparison.

40 years ago (very naïve, teens, sheltered upbringing), went to a work's picnic with other gardeners. The colleague sat next to me was smoking what I thought was a 'herbal' cigarette. I must have breathed in several lungfuls of whatever that was, and when I got up - I walked as if on air; the trees, the grass, the flowers dancing and swaying. Beautiful bright colours. An overwhelming sense of joy and peace.
Amazing as the experience was, that did 'not' make me a convert. I always like to be in control.
Nearly 20 years later, I was awaiting an operation for a fast growing fibroid tumour. With just several days before the op, my stomach as distended as a late term pregnancy, I took my son for a walk in the countryside around our home - and I experienced the same effects as those I had from that passive smoking incident.
The trees were dancing to some silent tune, the grass swaying as if underwater, like seaweed swaying under the waves. The colours were magical. I was so joyous and light, completely at peace with everything despite the danger I was in (I later learned that I was 2 weeks from death. One fibroid was the size of a grapefruit, the other the size of a football. Both had stuck to each other and we're twisting up my insides. This had almost brought me to the point of gangrenous strangulation...  No pain. None whatsoever).
This feeling of joy and peace continued until I woke up after my operation, and I found myself back on Earth once more. I felt so awful, so down and heavy, mourning that lost state for years.
I started learning to  meditate at 26, took 7 years to crack it (busy mind...). When I finally did, I saw the chakra colours, and then a few visions I didn't like, and so stopped it.
However, when my husband died last October, I was spiralling downwards into my grief. I was definitely closing in on a bad place. A chance 'meeting' led me to a local Buddhist centre, one that I had not suspected was in my local town. I restarted meditating again - to find that guided meditations here were much better.
Then, one day, the meditation leader (one of the nuns at the centre) conducted a 'Body Of Light' meditation.
I'd never heard of this before and didn't expect to get much in the way of benefit from it (as I am a creature of habit who thinks breath meditation is everything).
Well, what an experience it was...
When I stepped outside afterwards to go home, I felt as light as air. Colours were popping out of everywhere. I felt a 'real' depth (difficult to explain) to the buildings in the street. I had such clarity of mind. I could almost swear I floated down the road. I felt peaceful, I felt joy. I stopped to laugh at a tree (which flowered 2 days later), and was bowled over by the beauty of colourful litter outside Tesco's car park.
I was almost frightened to drive home, because I felt like I'd just had a swig or 5 on my former colleague's herbal cigarette.
Yet, drive I did (and safely). And that's when I noticed other people's faces. They were all walking in their sleep, daydreaming, just totally disconnected from whatever kind of reality I was in.
This feeling lasted 3 hours. For about a day, I could re-summon that experience for a minute or two, then just for a few seconds, and then it fizzled out. I can get it back again if I have a particularly good meditation session.
But having that last experience struck me as strange how it could so closely resemble that same joy, peace, happiness, the colours, the lightness of my step, and the clarity of mind as well - to those two aforementioned experiences.

OMG!!! I can't believe what you said about trees!! I had the same experience when a maintenance worker here at the RV park where I live horribly cut a tree almost to the point of killing it. I cried and cried. I love trees and animals. I talk to animals and trees.
I can relate to what he is saying about wisdom.  ❤

Would have love to hear more about the other side… 100 years of experience ❤

I’ve listened to years of NDE accounts and this brother is bringing depth that might come from 100 other people put together. Magnificent gift he is sharing with us. Listen often.

Wow this was an algorithmic WIN. Such a wonderful perspective. The final words were perfect.

Great work. Thank you!
Such an honest, humble and loving gentlemen. Thank you for your testimony. God bless you both.

I agree with you about the connection to trees.. 😢
