Maryland, May 1977. Muhammad Ali, defending his throne for the ninth time, steps into the ring as an aging legend. Across from him — a nobody with a devastating left hook. Alfredo "The Lynx of Montevideo" Evangelista, a 22-year-old nobody, had every reason to lose. Nobody expected a real fight. What happened next made the crowd boo their own champion.

I was an Ali fan from 1970 onward, because I was too young to remember his fights before the 70s. I'm 62 now, but I'm just learning about this fight tonight, wow.

By the time this fight took place,Ali had already been on Medication for 3 years,EL Dopa, the medical community didn't know what was wrong with him, and you can plainly see he was a Ghost of the Man he was before illness fell upon him, and you can also see,no Man could knock him out,

Ali made heavyweight boxing very interesting - you must be able to appreciate an 'ARTIST' when you happen to see ONE.
ALI boxing skill - he was the 'ARTIST'.
ALI WAS THE GREATIS!!!

Ali was shot after the Thrilla in Manila in fall 1975 . All these later fights never should have happened

Evangelista deserved the win. Give hime the $ and belt. When Ali couldn't Defend several occasions that would be game over. Took many body shots 3 spots. He only got gabs in.
