I once had a white 55 year old lodger. He was born in the town and worked hard as (a very good) much needed interior house plasterer.

He could never afford a mortgage so he lived in various rooms >> accomodation (like mine) for years.

In the town, a 'new town' in Essex, he could never qualify for a council house or a single bed flat because he was single. He has 3 grown up lovely daughters who are married ++++.

He paid taxes +++ etc all his life. Then out of the blue he said he'd had enough of constantly being pushed to the bottom of the housing que. He headed for Norfolk.

Got himself a flat and lots of work. Sadly, his flat is 100 miles from his very old mam.

Norfolk needs good plasterers. They put him first rather than unskilled illegal immigrants from all over the world.

The town he left also needs good plasterers but they disregared him because they housed immigrants first. Especially those with wives and children.

What a disgrace.
