In today’s video, we’re uncovering the hidden world of cut content in Black Ops 2. From scrapped multiplayer weapons and unreleased maps to deleted Zombies areas, early campaign concepts and forgotten features buried deep inside pre-alpha builds and game files. We’re taking a deep dive into what almost made it into the final game. Some of these ideas were nearly finished before being removed completely, while others only survive through concept art, leaked images, and leftover files hidden inside the game.

Quick note: after uploading I realized I got some small details wrong in the video. Nothing major, but I just wanted to acknowledge it since a few people are pointing it out.

1. Bipods/Mounting are in World At War

2. Electric cherry perk is in MOTD

3. DLC 5 was just for testing (allegedly)

the intruder and lockbreaker seem to have been fused together to become the access kit instead of being two separate perks that fulfil a similar job

I knew bo2 had a LOT of cut content but the one that shocked me the most was the early plaza concept (The Nightclub version). I honestly never knew about it and it basically looks completed. I really enjoyed the multiplayer section of this video! I would love to see a full documentary version of all cod titles like you mentioned in the outro. 10/10 video.

6:23 hate to be the "ermmm actually" guy but the bipod was an attachment in Call of Duty World at War and could be used in the campaign and multiplayer. There were also glitches to use it in zombies mode.

Definitely something scary and creepy about the original versions of the maps, almost like you’re somewhere youre not supposed to be like another alternate universe.

I will say I think Plaza looks so different because the devs likely planned for it to take place at Club Solar like in the campaign, but then changed it to take place at Club Lunar in the final version of the map

2:19 the icon for "Intruder" looks like an electric lock pick gun, so it'd probably be used to unlock doors. With "Lockbreaker" being a keypad, it was probably for electronic locks, similar to how the Lockpick and Science skills are used in the Fallout games.
Instead, they simplified it and made it into the "Access Kit" perk, which, btw, uses the EPC from the "Intruder" icon in its icon.

_ 2:16 Intruder and Lockbreaker were scrapped because they were redundant to have as separate perks and were fused together into Access Kit. No scrapped secret rooms for you :-P

_ 3:08 The GAZ 63 is left in most COD games for testing purposes.

_ 3:45 Names are kept the same under the hood, stuff as "PANAMA" is their codename, they're given the proper names late into the game's development and when the player clicks to play the mission associated to it the "director" still calls them by the names you see in that screen.
Also, the "split" parts of missions are still in the game, they're just loaded in the background in a smart way so the player doesn't notice it, for example as having a certain objective being conveniently "derailed" by a truck ;-)
