Aluminum and cinnamon are the words that I get tongue tied on when I’m saying them to people I don’t know well, cause there’s that split second that I think “oh, don’t screw up cinnamummuna” and embarrass yourself!” And it and/or “aluminummumum” comes out of my mouth. I feel your pain, lol. It’s funny how I can say all sorts of difficult words, but “cinnamon.” Oh, and if I’m handwriting, odds are 50/50 if I’m going to spell ‘tomorrow’ correctly.

I always say Japanese words phonetically, which is probably as close as I’m going to get…I’m never quite sure were the emphasis syllable is. I think I heard someone say that a “kaKUno” is actually pronounced “KAkuno.” I have no idea. No one can quite figure out/agree if it’s Robert Oster like Toaster or Oster like the blender. (We have my parents’ Osterizer early 1970s butternut squash one in our kitchen, and you can’t kill that thing!) I did learn that the word “iro” means “ink” so it makes sense that it shows up a lot in the words we see on our stationery. Glad you had a good time at the DC pen show!
