Dear Susan, I so appreciate your presentations; don’t be too hard on yourself. I’m an 83-year old Granny who just got back into pens four years ago and am enjoying the hobby (I am also a CZT-teacher of the Zentangle Method) while including Zentangle patterns with my pens and inks. I have several ASVINEs, and have recently got another HOngdian, the A9 in a reddish/coral wood (EF) so I’m all about less expensive pens. I do have a couple of higher-end pens, but try to balance my collection with variety. Love that Twelfth Night!!

I love broad nibs. I started with medium but I get broad or double broad when available. The twelfth night ink is on my wishlist, I've seen a few people use it recently.

Great line up! I also find the van diemans bottles so difficult! I get ink everywhere with them.

I love that Kobe green!  💚 I've found that five pens inked at a time works best for me. I don't commit to an ink and pen for the entire month, though, because it's too much fun switching things up 😊

Fallen Leaves is my favorite fall ink, hands down! It may be messy at the neck of the bottle but it looks amazing, at least on Midori MD paper.

We have matching pens! I am using my Amber Asvine P20 this month too. I have never seen that Robert Oster swatched before - thank you for swatching it - it seems almost black, is that pretty accurate? That green is my kind of green! It's been on my eventual list for awhile. Great video Susan! Also I also say okay a lot, so we could have some fun if we ever did do a drinking game out of it. 🤣🤣😂😂🤣

Great palette! You can see October in every color, even Twelth Night…it’s the color of a girl’s ballerina or princess Halloween costume! Sorry, I have no idea about YouTube, except upgrade to your OS latest and YouTube’s latest…and hopefully it works? Or completely shut down YouTube, restart your computer, and then open YouTube again. Always worth a try!

I love my Asvine C80s (one of which I actually won in a giveaway from another creator, it’s an M nib in the “Milky Way” blue shimmer color, and the other I bought and named “Emerald City” it’s the green glittery one…and of course what ink did I put into it right after I got it? Yep, Wearingeul’s The Wizard of Oz. I had that in a stub nib, but Wizard didn’t play well with a stub, so I swapped in an M. The Asvine stub nibs are fabulous (actually, all of their #8 nibs are fabulous…the 6 size are good, but the 8s are better. i also have the V800 and highly recommend…I think it’s coming in a stealth black shiny or stealth black matte…I love a stealthy black pen with some bright red ink in it!

And…yes, Asvine finally came out with a piston filler #8, but it’s all Titanium, and I’m not a fan. However, when I was watching one reviewer, I saw another pen close to the P100…and, it’s a new colorway for the P20 and it’s Yellow Cracked Ice (the P20 I have is the green one,) and that one is in my Amazon cart ready to take the slow boat to get to me! I’d love to put a black nib in it and call it “Killer Bee” 😅 (Actually, if you’re familiar with The Killer Bees from the OG Saturday Night Live, and the Killer Bee skits with Dan Akroyd and John Belushi…I had my mother sew me a Killer Bee costume for Halloween once - I wasn’t allowed to watch Saturday Night Live, but since my parents were often out on Saturday nights…I saw a lot of it! My mom was a wonderful seamstress and made all of my Halloween costumes and they were fabulous! I was very lucky.

Anyway, here’s to more colorways for the Asvine pens…also a favorite of mine! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Also, for people who think the C80 or V800 would be too large for them to hold cause their hands are small, I have smaller hands, and they are totally comfortable to write with. The balance is good, they aren’t super heavy, and the thicker grip section helps me not to “death grip” the pen so it works well for long writing sessions. Anyway….I’m off to buy some ink samples cause I’m like a junkie and I need a bunch of new inks to satisfy the craving!!! (Hey, it’s better than drugs!)
