Welcome back to the Swiss Hiking Series! 🏔️ Today we are heading to Adelboden in the Bernese Oberland for an extraordinary high-alpine adventure starting from the famous Engstligenalp (1,964m).

We leave the crowded trails behind and trek past Dossenseeli towards Tschingelpass, where we leave the marked trail to take on an unmarked, technical route (T4+ to T5-) up to Chli Tierhörli (2,894m). This scramble involves steep loose scree, navigating by stone cairns (Steinmännli), a Grade II climbing couloir, and an extremely exposed final ridge walk to the narrow summit with front-row views of the massive Wildstrubel (3,244m), Steghorn, and Loner massif!

For the descent, we traverse the dramatic Engstligengrat beneath the Dolomite-like walls of the Tschingellochtighorn and finish at the breathtaking Engstligen Falls (Engstligenfalls)—the 2nd highest waterfalls in Switzerland—dropping 600m down to Adelboden / Unterdembirg.
