In this video I finally get around to using the Green Mountain Grills Rotisserie attachment on the Green Mountain Grills Daniel Boone Prime Plus! For the first cook I obviously decided to do a rotisserie chicken and this is the first time iv'e ever done one on a pellet grill. I must say that GMG really did a good job designing the prime plus grills because not only do they have a lot of cool features but the rotisserie installs in just minutes! How are you liking your DB so far ... I ordered one the beginning of the week from our local fireplace shop, I got the regular prime as I'm not much into the stainless care. Your chicken looked great. BTW ... I went in to buy the TREK after watching your dad's vids, and ended up with a DB ... lol

I don’t have a green Mountain Grill, but I found the rotisserie for $25 so the old Traeger’s getting modified 😈

No matter how many times over the years i have tried and all the differentmethodsand fats I'veadded or not, I have never been able to get a crispy chicken doing it rotisserie on my Green Mountain pellet grill.

Have you tried using the charcoal pellets? Just curious if they give that flavor of a briquettes

I have this exact same setup and will be putting a bird on the rotisserie shortly. Your chicken looks fantastic. 2 questions --how do you determine where on the rod to put the counterweight? And if you had 2 birds on there, is a counterweight needed?

Just a heads up but you don't need to bring chicken to 165, 165 is instant lethality for bacteria but the same result can be reached at 150 for 2.8 minutes or 155 for .8 minutes. Would highly recommend looking up the poultry pasteurization table, comes in handy when doing things like wings and having some that refuse to hit 165.
