especially because i grew up in nyc, the division is a game super close to my heart. there is no fear I felt more powerful in a video game than a hunter on my tail in a neighborhood i used to live in.

You had pve, PvP, dz experience and survival experience all under one roof. It was underappreciated and we'll never get nothing like this again. 😢

That feeling of fighting my first hunter in survival is still one of my favourite in gaming. Immense vibes.

I believe that incorporating some form of hand-to-hand combat finishers to conserve ammunition would be a fitting addition to this game.

Man, I really wish Survival mode was the base game experience instead of a side mode. The atmosphere, the tension, the way the blizzard swallows up the city, it hits so different. As someone from NYC, it’s personal. That snowy collapse setting felt real, and I miss that vibe so much. I really hope Ubisoft brings the next Division game back to a frozen NYC and builds around what made Survival so special. It deserves more than just being a forgotten gem

Since I have a better PC now I can finally try out these type of games

The atmosphere is so dark and crazy! I love to walk while it’s snows during the night time. You see all the quarantined building covered in these plastic sheets and seeing the light making his way through the dark. Damn love this game so much

Not only do i miss division and survival. But i miss my best ganing friend i ever had thomas. Spent years playing with him. Met him in the dz and we teamed up instead of killing eachother. We went on a gaming journey after that. Wildlands , blackout, h1z1, ww2, og warzone and dmz. Miss my bro

They should have released this as a single game play experience, so you don't have to wait through a queue that takes forever if you can even get a match. A one-off with single player as an option to go in would help.

25:00 man the details, leaning up against the cruiser and snow fall down from the windos. It might not mean much overall but it means everything! passion on display right there

The Division and Splinter Cell are proof that Ubisoft cooked once upon a time

Never played the division series till may of 2025 and I picked up the division 2 and I’ve put in 40+ days played already and I’m SHD lvl 6k and I love that game! But it does get stale…but I recently bought the division and I beat the story and reached the end game for the 1st and after playing the division I’m truly upset I missed out during its prime…this game is truly ahead of its time. It has way more immersion and the interaction with civilian npcs just add more to the experience. The amount of detail on every street and every alley and just every angle of the game is top tier.

Division 1 is the best, and survival is the most atmospheric experience out there that still gives me shivers. My favorite mode next to underground. Thanks for covering it, got some nice nostalgia vibes :)

@quangodjango9351 1 year ago

Fun to watch a Survival run that wasn't someone following the looting path they have optimised over the years, reminds how disorientating and immersive the game mode can be when you are wet behind the ears and the struggle to survive is very real

@Tamed_Delirium 1 year ago

29:54 LOL that made me laugh. In the midst of an intense episode there’s always a good time to laugh once or two but too many and you’re dead

@theMAXX81 1 year ago

i remember when i made my first extraction out of survival. that was the best gaming experience to date

@garyroberton4826 9 months ago

The atmosphere in this game has never been beaten. When you fired the flare and the hunter appears, the music starts to build and the tension just goes up and up. I don't think any other game has come close to this atmosphere - edge of the seat gaming at it's very best. They couldn't replicate it in Division 2 either. This will always be the one to beat. I just hope they leave the servers on - I'm starting again from teh beginning - new build PC and new character - to experience it all over again. Superb video - you captured the atmosphere of Survival perfectly. Thanks.

To this day no other game beats the atmosphere of just walking around in the dark in this game.

When Arc Raiders teased people with their previous test. I'm surprised more people did not compare that to The Division and their Dark Zone mechanic. It's literally the same thing, but Arc Raiders appears to have a great formula to it. However, Division did a great job of capturing the same third person survival feel with the DZ looting and extracting. I totally forgot that Division had a survival mode until this video. Fire content as always and I can't wait to see what you have in store for Arc Raiders offical release!!!
