girl, I just got my hair cut and it was like a nice length for me before and I was happy with it. Yesterday I went and got my hair cut and she said she would cut off and inch and a half to get ride of split ends and after she cut it she put it in braids. So today I took out the braids and it was way to short for me and I needed this video to just cry with you 👍

Crying over having your hair cut wayy too short seems like a canon event :(

@lexizaino7093 3 years ago

This just happened to me and I’m so upset.

Thank you for sharing your hair journey. I just bawled my eyes out as my hair dresser cut my hair WAY too short (and I have curls so it takes way longer to grow!!) and she said the same thing when I asked her where my hair went!

What an adventure ! This woman's reaction was unprofessional. So sorry that your haircut didn't go as planned, but your hair will grow again, and I'm sure your next hairdresser will be a very talented one ✨Until you get your hair lenght back, know that this haircut suits you, even if it's not what you wanted 😥but at least you still look great 😬

I cried so much and still am this happened to me too. I asked for a trim my hair was down to my butt he cut it a little bit past my shoulders

This happened to me yesterday and I’m still so upset. I’m sorry it happened to you too, it takes so long for hair to grow and in an instant it’s just gone

@Lunabohemia7777 4 years ago (edited)

This happened to me today, my hair was below my waistline and now is over my breasts😭
I clearly told the lady that I only wanted to cut max. 5 cm and she still cut at least 20 cm.
I know hair grows but it’s such a awful feeling having someone doing something on your body against your will. I feel super down because I used to love my long hair and I wasn’t ready to get it this short.

I asked for a V cut at the BOTTOM of my long hair ... It was also in a side part and he cut my hair with a centre parting .... He cut a V from my SHOULDERS not the bottom all the way down ... my hair was so long the V didn't even meet so ended up as a Y cut!!!! I lost years of growth at the sides and when I side parted my hair as I always wore it had a huge section missing and a huge disconnection .... Lord know what he was thinking and I'm going to be growing it out for the next 2-3 years!!!

Oh I understand you so well! I used to have similair experiences, not only at hairdresser's. I never wanted to make a fuss so I used to remain quiet but to be honest - it's our money and we have a right to demand. If only that woman owned up to her mistake I'm sure the situation wouldn't have turned out unpleasant - I mean, at least at the salon, because in the end the results were still unsatisfactory and the whole experience very unpleasant for you.
Your reaction was totally understandable and standing up for yourself like that - I hope I can learn to do it more often ;-)
Also, these days I'm cutting my hair by myself and I'm quite happy with the results. I mean, nothing too complicated, just a simple V-shaped haircut with bangs... and I swear that my hair look healthier than ever :-)

All the best for you Jasmine! I'm very happy you're posting vlogs again :-) I'm watching whenever I have some free time. Love ya!

Just got my hair (that I have been growing for 8 years) chopped by a hairdresser, I asked for a trim and a light dusting of my split ends. Can’t stop crying…

I went to a different hairdresser in the new city I shifted to. I had such a long hair and I just went for trim, my hair was a bit damaged too due to tangled hair knots, the hairdresser just cut my hair a little below mt shoulder. I feel so bad now, I don't like going on gatherings, have lost Interest in going for social events and getting photos clicked. I don't even want to go for any vacation with this short hair. I don't know how long it will take to grow back same length. I am also sacred that now I am 25, my hair won't even grow back with the same speed as before.

@adelarossol9311 2 years ago

Reliving that hair trauma … and remembering how upset you were. Thank goodness hair grows. But yeah, she should’ve owned up to her mistake.

ps im stoked to see you pop up in one of the euphoria episodes this season!!

I would've cried too! Two years ago, I had super long hair and wanted a trim but the lady straight up gave me a shoulder cut. My hair at the time was super healthy and I hadn't dyed it so its not like I had that many dead ends. This was at the start of 2020 so maybe it was a sign of what was going to happen haha I am so angry for you! Also, the fact that she was denying it is super crazy! Not to mention, how unprofessional it is to take on other clients and making you wait.

@brereadsbooks 4 years ago

Glad you stood up for yourself, Jasmine! I would definitely leave a review of your negative experience about their salon on google, Yelp, etc. so that others don’t have to deal with that.

Greeting from Australia. I can really see you are genuinely crying as I feel your pain as it happened to me too😭😭😭I get some comfort from your video as I had long hair like you and when I went to my hairdressers to cut my hair she actually cut my hair way short and I cried and I cried😭💗💗💗💗💗

@fantreck 10 months ago

Something similiar happened to me. The hairdresser also completely tried to gaslight me and got really aggressive and rude. He cut 8-10 instead of 2 inches. He cut it so short that it was bot even shoulder length.
