Nice review man, I've heard a lot of good things about this album. They lost me after Ghost Opera, everything they did after that sounded same same. But your absolutely right, Kamelot tends to add to many spices to their music, it just sounds too layered, and too over the top for my taste. Alright brother, take care.

Solid, honest review Jeremy. Personally, Kamelot's Dark Asylum is the first album I've heard from them in a long time. It's been roughly 10 years since the last time I listened to Kamelot. I thought Dark Asylum was a great album. But I can totally understand why it didn't do much for you. Still, I'm glad you gave it a chance.

Good review. I only have their album "Epica," which is considered by many to be their best. It's good but it never made me want to listen to any of their other material. Not really my thing either.
