They are prosecutors and have faced some of the most chilling criminal cases in the country. Jean-Claude Romand, who murdered his wife, two children, and parents; the Jourdain brothers, convicted of murdering four young girls… At the heart of the criminal justice system, prosecutors lead investigations, decide on prosecutions, and represent society in court. When they appear before a jury, they act as advocates general. But behind the title, there are also women and men. Some investigations, some trials, affect them more deeply than others. They recount these cases they have never forgotten, those that have marked their careers and sometimes their lives.
