it doesn’t matter the decade, anne hathaway’s face card/bank/economy is thriving. my God

"The Anne Hathaway Shrek Movie" is such a perfect description of this movie XD

Damn I started tearing up when she demanded herself to stop being obedient 😭

I cannot believe that this masterpiece flopped at the box office. This movie literally helped shape my childhood. And I watched it again a few years ago right before I made a huge life decision that changed my life for the better.

More people should def watch this gem

"Ladies! Stop tonguing the foyer" has been my go-to for thirsty fangirls since this movie came out.

only reason this flopped in the box office is because i was 5 and couldnt beg my mom to bring me to the movies

Absolutely WILD to learn that this was a flop. It came out when I was little so I wasn’t really aware of its cultural impact- or lack thereof, I just remember it as a BANGIN movie from my childhood like an absolute classic. Watched it many times as a kid and not enough as an adult now :)

Depression.
The gift my fairy gave me was depression.

One of the cutest things about Char and Ella is he tells her that kissing him wasn't an order because, unlike everyone else, he noticed she was doing things she didn't want to do whenever she was commanded to 😭

I'm really glad my family found Ella Enchanted, it was for sure on the rewatch cycle.

I can proudly say i was one of the 11 people who watched this movie and it was one of the most formative films of my childhood. And the somebody to love scene is literally incredible

A rare jukebox musical that's not unbearable

2:25 jokes on you, I’m already an Ella Enchanted evangelist,,, an “Ella Enchantangelist” if you will

"What I love about Char is that he's gonna match Ella's freak" is the funniest most accurate description I've ever heard🤣

Can you believe that Shrek came out over 20 years ago? Man, it's like the years start coming and they don't stop coming.

what upsets me about the 'i never want to see you again' friend scene is like... idk about her friend, but if my friend who had crappy family members came to the door sobbing and saying something like that, id know they were being forced to!! but also why did she literally never tell her best friend about her curse before her mom died, like, how did she even resist just complaining to her about it in the first place. unless her mom died before they became friends, i dont remember lol

Literally was Ella for Halloween this past year, the movie is a gem deserving of a place on the girly media crown 😤😤😤

I adore both Ella Enchanted and Shrek to relatively similar heights of indescribable regard to the point where the title made absolutely perfect sense to me immediately.
