The road to Mount Everest Base Camp takes us deeper into Tibet, and the altitude is starting to affect everyone in the group.

None of us is sleeping well, the temperatures are dropping, and every ride is getting colder. But the scenery makes it hard to complain.

Along the way, I also take a look at the finances of this journey — how much I've spent in China so far, and whether I'm still on track with the budget. Surprisingly, I'm ahead of budget in China. But the expensive European part of the journey is still haunting me.

Eventually, we reach the north side of Mount Everest. The base camp has been closed for weeks because of landslides in the area, so even getting there has been a challenge.

But there is one final problem.

The weather.

Will the clouds clear enough for me to see the summit of the highest mountain on Earth?
