Sometimes in Pokemon there are ideas that are cast aside before the games release, but still remain hidden in the game's code. So, today I thought it would be cool to take a look at some of these and other examples of forgotten and cancelled things in Pokemon. I hope you enjoy!

I'm super close to 250k subs; thanks so much! I've got a few videos planned to mark this (which is partially why my trivia uploads have been so patchy) and I can't wait to show you all!

Here's my video talking about some more unused music tracks in Pokemon if you're interested :) Top 5 UNUSED Music Tracks in Pokemon!

Massive thank you to ShinyCollector98 for helping me out with some of the footage! (The rest of it was recorded on my capture cards.)

Hi everyone! So, are there any forgotten/cancelled things that weren't on this list that you can think of? As with the last video, I'm taking suggestions for Top 10s and silly 20 lists so feel free to fire away! (If I pick it you'll get featured in that video!) Have a great day! :D

he thought that azure flute was hard, but reading braile and doing satanic rituals to unlock the regis isnt?!

Hoenn: Use a Wailord and Relicanth and read brail to translate it into secret words and catch the Regis.

Sinnoh:
Too hard to use a flute.

OKAY

RIP Azure Flute. 2006-2006.

Why would they take out the Azure Flute, claiming it's too complicated, but keep in Pokemon like the Regis where you have to BRAILLE in order to catch them?!

@CearaIvory 9 years ago

AZ is a critical part of the story and... his part consists of an accumulative 5 minutes of plot dumping and one battle.

Azure Flute: Too difficult. Regis in gen 3: Simple.

@Moonlight-Fox-Stories 9 years ago

Pokemon in Gen III: Make a puzzle that requires translating from brail to get a ridiculous instruction to follow.
Pokemon in Gen IV: We can't distribute a legendary pokemon in the planned way because that would be too confusing for players.

...I... Don't get it either.

Allegedly, Game Freak removed the Safari Zone after they discovered the Glitch City Wrong Warp involving saving in the Safari Zone. This is evidenced by later versions of the Safari Zone removing your ability to save
