I drove from the campsite at Pleasant Creek State Park in Palo down to Iowa City for an Iowa Hawkeyes football game at Kinnick Stadium and of course took part in THE WAVE at the end of the first quarter.
Fun fact: I was actually in the stadium for the very first Wave back in 2017 when the tradition started. It’s still one of the coolest and most meaningful moments in college football — 70,000+ fans turning to wave at the kids in the Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
After the game I grabbed some late-night food and headed back to camp.
