Go up north or even just out of London, people are much more down to earth. Especially in Yorkshire and Scotland.

The first two girls saying there’s a lot of trash about. Compared to the Philippines? The pot calling the kettle black? 😂😂

Most of the "how are you" in the US is totally fake. British people may be reserved but when they ask you the same question, they mean it.

As children, we're taught not to speak to strangers because it can be dangerous. The same principle still applies to adults. It doesn't make us rude, it just means we're cautious. The sad reality is that as crime increases in any country, people can become more distant.

British ppl just minding their own business and carry on. Americans love to intervene when it's no one's business and be the loud one in the room.

I'm half Filipino and half Japanese. The Brits and Japanese have a lot in common on the aspects the woman was discussing in the first minutes.
People ask me why I don't like being in the Philippines and I say "they're just up your business ALL the time" and their sense of personal space and privacy is very loose compared to countries typically described as "friendly" like the Philippines. I'm not saying these traits are wrong or bad. I just prefer it when people are a bit more reserved and minding their own business. Filipino friendliness stresses the f out of me although I sure do understand they mean well 😅

More British people are genuine when you get to know them, but not many will be openly friendly with random
Interactions.

You will always have unfriendly people
Whatever country you visit.

Maybe you should say London culture shock as UK applies they've been out of London

@AnotherLostBall 23 hours ago

London is not a true representation of the UK. People are far more approachable in other areas of the UK.

@justinriley-l8o 23 hours ago

If Londonistan represents the UK. Then god help us English people

London ceased to be a British city in 2007.

There are no beaches in the Philippines that are nicer than our best ones.

@Tank1 1 day ago

Yes that true British are space, they never say anything apart,,, The weather, or why hard today.. or "Thanks," " aww the nice..see ya" that it , go home after TV or Phone 🤣🤣🤦🏻 actually .... Pub 🍻 , they are center of the World British 🤦🏻

@Just-another-GenXer 1 day ago (edited)

Remember if your in London and ask someone something then the chances are they may be a tourist and thats why they maybe stand offish.
Historically the British will give you the shirts off their backs if you ask nicely enough. Nowdays you can't judge the UK by living in London. (You need to go North for some northern hospitality)

@leemcarthur4334 1 day ago

This lady needs to understand that most people living in London now are not actually British! Try visiting a different town and you'll find far more friendly people!! 😉🇬🇧

I wish people would stop talking about the UK when their only experience with it is ENGLAND. ENGLAND IS NOT THE UK. They would have completely different experiences in Scotland Wales and NI.
