BRUTUS UPDATE!

while we are still looking for the original photo of Brutus from around 2004-2005 ish, one of my viewers whose comment has either been deleted by YouTube, or by themselves, found the infamous Octavian edit from 2006!

Here is the forum thread it was found on, posted by the user "Super Zack":

Actually so insane to have this found, and we are now reaching out to those in these old forums to see if anyone has any other info, or better yet, that original photo of Brutus the Bulldog. Thank you so much to this commenter! :)

Thank you so much for covering my Rapunzel story!! I showed my mom and she says that is the movie! I'm watching it back on my full screen TV and not my phone and I do wanna say that it is and you did find it! Thank you.

While I never really got the unsettling vibe from lost cartoons or animation, I totally feel it for web content. The idea that there was a video file passed around more than 20 years ago, that people had, that nobody will ever see again, just feels unnerving. Maybe it's the fact that lost web content was made by people like us, it feels like it should be more tangible. Compared to cartoon pilots that were never meant to be seen publicly and are more out of reach.

Today we’re drinking the weird pink blood from the prince’s eyes. Tastes like pink lemonade

The rapunzel one is good example of how someones terrible memory can kind of derail a whole search. This has happened way to many times and many lost media probably has been found but because it did not quite match there terrible memory and the community throws it out as not the right thing. The lost media community puts way to much faith in people's memory.

Could it be that Natalie's real name is Natalie. Maybe that sounds stupid but I mean many Nickelodeon shows had the name of the actors be the same as characters name like Drake and Josh and Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Byne Show ect. Obviously this doesnt help the search at all but I just wanted to give my thoughts

It's funny that the character Octavian was edited into Brutus because Octavian was another name for Emperor Augustus who succeeded Julius Caesar when he was murdered by Brutus.

A NEW LOST MEDIA VIDEO FROM FLURRYMOON OH WE EATING GOOD FLURRYNATION 🗣️🗣️🗣️ SLAYYYYYYY

I LOVE fake creepy characters from video games, I get super obsessed with herobrine sometimes because he’s the only one I really interacted with as a kid (heard rumors about, stayed up late to try to find him, all that!) so the fact that there’s an animal crossing one with a missing image is super interesting! I’ll have to check out those videos of it!! Never apologize for adding things in editing I think it adds a lot of needed context!! Also I get chills so easily too, seeing the wiki page say ‘unknown’ is nerve wracking you’re not alone don’t worry lol! (ALSO THAT REPUNIZAL THING IS HORRIFYING) I thought the speed running part was very interesting! I’ve been playing a lot of mgs, just finished the 4th game, and whenever I see the people top of the leaderboard I always think it’s so cool, like what are those people doing? It’s so much fun, I’d love to see a video about speed running (and the cheaters that came along with it). Great video!!!

I really hope you can cover some Vocaloid lost media at some point, there’s a lot of it and a lot of lost songs and I think it could be a really interesting topic if you’d wanna cover it ❤

!! I KNOW THAT RAPUNZEL MOVIE!!!

I don't know the name, the actors, I saw it like...once, when I was a child. Like, I wanna say between ages 10-12? I remember being at my dad's house during New Year's Eve, me and my sisters were bored cuz the adults partied upstairs, so we watched whatever we had on TV.

And the prince falling from the tower, and going "I can't see", IT'S REAL! And yes it scared the gingersnaps out of me, that I vividly remember that specific scene you showed. It's real.

Idk I’ve written this before but I’m desperate

My only real lost media is this mystery puzzle horror game I played on my kindle fire around 2018-2019. Its style was realistic, and it was set in what I’m guessing was medieval times? It followed this girl who was going into a small town for her sisters wedding to this guy, and throughout the game, you realize the guy is this evil magical figure, and at the end I remember a scene where your are on what seems to be a cliff, the sister is tied to a stone, and you are battling him. Another small detail is at the beginning, you are in a wagon and you find a cat you get to keep as a pet. I think the protagonist was a brunette, and the sister was definitely blond with a long white flowy dress. I was obsessed with this game before it was removed from the kindle kids feature and I remember telling my mom I wanted to go as the sister for Halloween

i feel like the quality of your scripts is getting better and better! you always eat with your topics girlie ^^

I found it!! Snowball run (2003)!!

There was a game where you were a penguin on a bubble running across a weird 3D waffle maze. I think you had to cross the finish before it melted and it was extremely hard to balance. It was on Windows computers in the very early 2000s. Maybe made in the 90s? I’d love to see it again if you can find and cover it

WOAH NATALIES BACKSEAT ROADSHOW pulled that straight out of the deep recesses of my brain.

11:13 this image is genuinely creepy, and I've never even played an Animal Crossing game 🪦

Brutus needs to be an Easter egg is the newest game :) just have him randomly show up as a villager

I have a weird piece of media I'm looking for. It was a stop-motion video where a Barbie doll wakes up in bed, and a mouse or rat shows up and drags her off-screen and starts eating her. It keeps dragging her back and forth across the screen, a different body part missing from the Barbie every time she appears on-screen. At the end, only her head is left, and when that gets dragged off-screen there's a burping noise.

I remember seeing this on TV in the 2000's, on a show with a live studio audience. I remember it being on America's Funniest Home Videos (which I watched a lot as a kid), and I remember thinking it felt out of place there. However, I might be misremembering that, and it might've been on a talk show or something.

The only evidence of this video's existence I've ever been able to find is a Reddit post on r/ForgottenTV from someone else who was also trying to find it. (I can't link that here, unfortunately.) OP thinks it was from a talk show.

16:06 this reminds me of Danganropa since it also has pink blood

I remember that rapunzel movie! I had the same memory of that scene when the prince eyes bleed when I used to watch old fairytale cartoons and shows on YouTube, but if it’s a scarier version of the rapunzel story it might be in another language other than English and maybe dubbed into English, mainly bc old Grimm tales adapted out of America usually retain the darker elements from the original stories.
